Chapter 1770

As expected, five minutes later, three powerful factions emerged in the vast canyon, as if from nowhere. Among them were the members of the Misty Sect, with a woman in pink leading the way. Her presence was commanding, and her eyes gleamed with coldness and pride. "It's them!" Jovi exclaimed, his voice full of surprise. "The other two factions are strong. We should observe for now and not act recklessly," Nodin said cautiously, cold sweat forming on his forehead. Sebastian's gaze was fixed on the woman in pink from a distance, while also keeping an eye on the other two factions, which were just as formidable. Nodin's mind was clear. These people were far stronger. If they charged in now, they would be cannon fodder. "The three leaders have all broken through to the Transformative Deity Realm. Looks like a fierce battle is inevitable," Jovi said with a serious expression. He glanced at Nodin, wondering if he had reached the Transformative Deity Realm as well. Nodin nodded, reassuring Jovi and the others. If Nodin hadn't reached that realm himself, they would have to retreat immediately, and there would also be no chance for them to fight here. The Mystic Crocodile and Snow Eagle were no easy opponents. Sebastian and his group decided to hold back for now, hoping to let the three factions clash and then take advantage of the chaos. However, whether their plan would work was still uncertain. Sebastian's mind and gaze were focused entirely on the Dragon Essence. Though he had no idea what it looked like, he was certain it would be immensely beneficial. Even if it meant risking his life, he was determined to get his hands on it. "Let's hold off on making any moves for now. Hopefully, we won't be spotted," Nodin said in a low voice. In fact, Sebastian knew that their presence had likely already been detected. At that moment, the Ridge of Mount Moo was blanketed in heavy snow, with a biting cold wind howling through the air. The peaks were steep and treacherous. "I never expected the Harmonia Sect to be here too. What a surprise." Here came a burly man, who was bare-chested with half his body clad in black armor and a face full of rough features. He swung a spiked mace in his hand, grinning eerily. The spikes on his mace gleamed with a chilling light under the snow's reflection. "The Infernal Gate is here, so it's no surprise the Harmonia Sect showed up too. Don't even dream of taking it all for yourself!" said another member of the Harmonia Sect. Dressed in a flashy robe, with shifty eyes and a hunched back, he spoke with disdain. "Two of you have barged into the Misty Sect's territory without permission. What exactly do you want?" the woman in pink, Alexandra Saint, asked in an icy tone. Her eyes were frosty, making it hard for anyone to approach her. She stood gracefully in the snow, like a snowflake, untouched by the cold. "I'm Mosiah Gillian from Infernal Gate. Ms. Saint, I've heard for a long time now that you're as beautiful as a fairy. Now that I finally see you in person, I must say that the rumors are true. You've nearly stolen my heart," Mosiah said. His face twisted into an obsequious grin, though a hint of cunning flickered in his eyes. "Ms. Saint, you're truly a rare beauty. I'm Jos Verstappen from Harmonia Sect, and I've long been enchanted by you," Jos said, leering. His lascivious expression made Alexandra feel disgusted. "How dare you act recklessly in the Misty Sect's territory?" Alexandra's gaze was cold and filled with killing intent. She knew well that these men were after the Dragon Essence. "This Ridge of Mount Moo isn't just yours, Ms. Saint. We're just passing through. What are you going to do—kick us out?" Jos twirled his spiked mace in his hand, grinning lecherously. "Exactly. It's fate that we've met here. There's no need to be so unfriendly," Mosiah said with a grin that didn't reach his eyes. "Stop talking shit! It was obvious that you guys are here for the Dragon Essence," Alexandra said in an icy tone. "Heavenly treasures are always claimed by those who are capable. Now that we've made it clear, let's see who can take it," Mosiah said, dropping the pretense. Behind him stood eight powerful figures, each at the pre-Transformative Deity Realm. There were 12 late pinnacle stage Holy Lord Masters behind Jos. They stood in a line, radiating an imposing presence. "The Dragon Essence is here. Whoever has the ability can take it. No objections, right?" Jos asked, eyeing Mosiah and Alexandra. The expressions of the three of them instantly turned as cold as ice. The appearance of the Dragon Essence at Ridge of Mount Moo should have been a huge advantage for the Misty Sect. However, with the Harmonia Sect and Infernal Gate showing up at the same time, Alexandra was both surprised and furious, forcing her to remain on high alert. "A bunch of hypocrites. They're all here for the Dragon Essence, yet they're still pretending…" Sebastian muttered coldly to himself. He knew well that these people didn't trust each other and were secretly on guard. "Do you think the beast guarding the Dragon Essence will be easy to deal with?" How about we team up, deal with the beast first, and then compete for the Dragon Essence afterward?" Jos' eyes gleamed with calculation as he suggested with a sinister smile.
