Chapter 1769
Sebastian and the others left quietly, but Sebastian's desire for the Dragon Essence was unwavering. In his heart, he was certain that once he obtained it, his strength would undergo a drastic and transformative change.
Nodin remained completely focused on finding the Mystic Crocodile, and though Sebastian was reluctant, he had no choice but to follow.
Sebastian glanced back, casting a fleeting, calm look at the Misty Sect disciples. His gaze was deep and composed, yet in his heart, he was certain they would meet again.
It felt as though everything was already unfolding according to his expectations.
After three days of searching desperately in the Ridge of Mount Moo, Sebastian and the others still hadn't found any trace of the Mystic Crocodile. They had only discovered two faint marks, where the ice had melted, revealing large and distinct claw prints.
The prints were particularly striking, standing out clearly. It was obvious that the Mystic Crocodile was lurking somewhere nearby, just waiting to appear.
The group scoured the southeastern region of the Ridge of Mount Moo for over six hundred miles, but they still found nothing.
The night sky was dotted with countless stars, sparkling like diamonds. The bright moon cast a cold, silvery glow, like a thin veil draped over the endless snowfield.
Each snowflake danced through the air like a delicate spirit, taking various shapes. Some resembled six-petaled flowers, while others looked like tiny grains of salt.
After much searching, Sebastian and the others finally found a clue in the deep canyon.
"That fella is most likely hiding there," Nodin said. His voice trembled with barely contained excitement as his eyes locked onto the dense array of claw prints surrounding them.
Snowflakes gently drifted down, falling in a soft flurry. Each one was like a solitary dancer, freely twirling in the cold wind.
The cold wind howled through the mountains, its sound resembling the wailing of ghosts and wolves. Icy gusts raced through the trees, making the branches creak and groan.
Snowflakes swirled in the air, and a suffocating tension hung in the otherwise silent atmosphere.
"We're finally getting somewhere," Nodin remarked. With his voice trembling slightly from the thrill, he couldn't hide his excitement any longer.
"I'll go check it out. You guys stay here," Jovi said, taking a deep breath and volunteering.
"Be careful!" Nodin's face showed tension, his eyes full of concern as he reminded him once more.
Jovi cautiously followed the trail into the canyon.
The deep mountain was engulfed in wind and snow, shrouded in a misty haze. The situation grew increasingly difficult to grasp.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes slightly, keenly sensing a dangerous presence quietly closing in. The mysterious canyon felt like a massive trap, and the weight of it pressed down on him, filling him with a sense of unease.
Nodin and the others grew increasingly tense. Their bodies were tense, and they were ready for the battle.
Half an hour later, Jovi hurried back, sweat dripping from his forehead. The once-clear trail on the ground had mysteriously vanished without a trace.
"The Mystic Crocodile is inside, along with a Snow Eagle. The Snow Eagle is far more powerful than the Crocodile. It's strange that the two can coexist…" Jovi said as he frowned deeply. His voice was filled with surprise and confusion.
"Snow Eagle? If it has reached the Transformation Deity Realm, its strength is not to be underestimated," Nodin remarked as his expression turned grim in an instant. He furrowed his brows deeply, calculating his next move in silence.
However, Sebastian remained calm. With his current strength, he wouldn't fear even a beast that was at Transformative Deity Realm.
"Sergi, you and Jovi take the lead. We'll cover your back," Nodin said, trying to maintain composure as he quickly issued orders.
"There's no need for such arrangements. We should all work together," Sebastian responded with confidence.
Sebastian's powerful mental power sharply sensed three forces approaching at an astonishing speed. Each force was formidable and not to be underestimated, but with his profound strength, he had no fear of any challenge.
"What's going on?" Jovi's eyes widened, panic written all over his face.
"Three other forces are coming, but don't worry," Sebastian said calmly as he tried to reassure them.
"Are you sure?" Lewis asked in a slightly trembling voice as he eyed Sebastian with suspicion.
"Trust me. My senses are never wrong," Sebastian replied with a smile. He was very calm and composed at that moment.
