Chapter 1767
"Who are these people?" Sebastian furrowed his brows, clearly confused.
The group of more than ten experts stood their ground, but even at the late stage of the Holy Lord Realm, they struggled against the ferocious giant brown bear. Their movements seemed shackled by invisible chains.
"Judging by their outfits, they're probably from the Misty Sect," Jovi whispered as he stared at the front. His voice was barely audible as if afraid someone might overhear.
"Yeah, they came prepared. It looks like they're here to take down the Bear King," Nodin muttered grimly. At that moment, beads of sweat started to form on his forehead.
The Bear King was massive, towering like a moving mountain. Its presence radiated sheer brutality, enough to make anyone's heart race.
Despite being surrounded on all sides, it moved effortlessly, launching precise attacks without a hint of panic.
"This beast is ridiculously strong," Sebastian remarked in disbelief. "It's not quite at the Transformative Deity Realm, but it's close enough."
The terrifying creature stood tall and unyielding, even as it was surrounded by the group. Its majestic, intimidating presence showed why it was the king of brown bears.
However, the female disciples of the Misty Sect wore expressions of utter resolve, as if they had made the decision to face death. It was clear they were preparing to unleash their final strike, determined to bring the Bear King down for good.
"This is a Blackstone Brown Bear. Its intelligence isn't high, but its strength is immense. Demonic beasts are all God's creation, absorbing the essence of the world. Their power usually surpasses that of human cultivators. The combat strength of Bear King is enough to rival that of a Transformative Deity Master.
"These women might be hunting it for the treasures it possesses, or perhaps to consume its flesh and enhance their cultivation. The meat of the Bear King is incredibly rare, and it's more precious than immortal stones. If they can eat it, their strength will likely see a significant boost."
Nodin's face grew somber as he said slowly, "The gap between the Transformative Deity Realm and the Holy Lord Realm is vast. These women… they'll have a hard time taking down the Bear King."
His voice trembled slightly, clearly affected by the tension of the situation.
The female disciples of the Misty Sect were strong, but the Bear King was even fiercer, like a malevolent force unleashed from the depths of hell.
"So, basically, they're just a bunch of bear hunters. Who knows, maybe the bear will end up hunting them instead!" Sebastian said with a smirk, chuckling.
Despite the playful remark, his eyes remained serious. He knew this was anything but a simple fight.
Jovi and Nodin froze for a moment before letting out faint, bitter smiles. The laughter was tinged more with resignation and unease than amusement.
"You're not wrong. It's not uncommon for hunters to become the hunted," Sergi said as he laughed out loud. Though there was a hint of strain in his laughter, everyone knew this was no laughing matter.
Before anyone could respond, a sharp, commanding voice cut through the air.
"Who's spying over there? Show yourself!"
A woman in a flowing pink gown appeared, wielding a blazing violet sword. Her figure was graceful yet commanding, exuding an overwhelming aura. She was breathtakingly beautiful, but her icy demeanor and piercing gaze carried a murderous intent so fierce it seemed capable of freezing one's very soul.
With a single swing of her sword, violet flames erupted and blazed fiercely. The searing light devoured everything in its path, and dozens of towering trees instantly reduced to ash.
The oppressive heat swept toward them, leaving Sebastian and the others gasping for breath.
If they hadn't reacted quickly and dodged in time, they would have been torn apart by the sword's devastating energy.
"Woah, what a feisty woman," Sebastian muttered with a cold snort, silently grumbling to himself.
Her ruthless attack made it clear she saw them as enemies, and she wouldn't be easy to handle. At that moment, he felt not only apprehension toward the woman's ferocity but also unease about the unpredictable situation ahead.
Her pink gown billowed gracefully in the wind, as radiant and captivating as spring blossoms in full bloom. A silver belt cinched at her waist, accentuating her slender, supple figure.
Her skin was smooth and fair, and her bright eyes sparkled like stars. Yet, there was a coldness in them that made it impossible to meet her gaze. Long black hair cascaded down her back, swaying gently with her movements. She looked like a goddess descended to earth, though the chilling aura around her was enough to make anyone shudder.
"Whoever you are, leave now, or you will die!" The woman in pink commanded with an icy tone. Her words carried the frigid weight of frost, sending chills down their spines.
"I'm Nodin Lamont, the senior outer disciple of the Alpha Sect," he said with a respectful fist salute. " We have no intention of offending your sect. We're only here for training and will leave within five days, I promise." His posture was humble, and his tone was sincere.
They had come seeking the Mystic Crocodile and wanted nothing to do with a conflict, especially not with the Misty Sect on its own turf.
"Alpha Sect? Are you after the Dragon Essence?" the woman in pink asked, keeping her back to Sebastian and the others.
Her tone was laced with suspicion and wariness, as if she saw them as a band of scheming thieves.
