Chapter 1766
"Mr. Lamont," Sebastian said when he saw Nodin approaching with two others.
The five of them gathered at the foot of Mount Moo.
"Sebastian, the younger generation truly is impressive. Your name now echoes throughout both the inner and outer sects," Nodin said calmly with a faint smile.
At that moment, his gaze carried a hint of admiration. Yet, Sebastian found it difficult to gauge his true strength.
"Mr. Lamont, don't mention it. Who are these two?" Sebastian asked curiously with a smile.
"Pau Cubarsi."
"Sergi Roberto."
The two men gave Sebastian a friendly nod as they introduced themselves. Given that he had recently defeated Cristian and Myke in succession, even as senior members of the outer sect, they showed no arrogance before him.
When it came to strength, their chances of winning against Sebastian were quite slim.
In this world, strength was everything.
"This journey might take ten days or perhaps even half a month. By the time we return, the opening of the Nine Spheres will be upon us. We cannot afford any delays. Regardless of the outcome, we must make our way back as quickly as possible.
"Our destination is the Ridge of Mount Moo, which should take us around five days to reach. However, once we arrive, we will be outside the jurisdiction of the Alpha Sect. You guys need to be extra careful, and recklessness will not be tolerated."
Nodin's expression grew serious as he spoke, and he looked at the group with authority.
"I've received word that someone at the Ridge of Mount Moo has discovered a Mystic Crocodile. Our target is a Mystic Crocodile at the Transformative Deity Realm. I hope for everyone's full cooperation. You can rest assured, as I'll make sure your efforts are well rewarded," Nodin said.
"Alright. Let's set out immediately and return as soon as possible," Jovi said with confidence.
With that, the five of them set off toward the Ridge of Mount Moo together.
Mount Moo stretched endlessly across the horizon, spanning over a million miles. Though the Ridge of Mount Moo was just a small section on the western edge of the Alpha Sect's territory, it already lay beyond the sect's sphere of influence.
The Alpha Sect controlled an area of about ten thousand miles. It was a respectable domain, but far from vast.
However, the Ridge of Mount Moo belonged to the Misty Sect, an all-female sect led by one of Mount Moo's most formidable figures.
Her strength surpassed even that of Alpha Sect's Leader.
The power dynamics within Mount Moo were intricate and layered, with countless factions vying for dominance. Mount Moo occupied less than one percent of the state of Lewington. As Sebastian looked into the vast expanse below, where the endless, rolling mountains stretched over a million miles, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe.
The world was boundless and immeasurable. He hadn't even stepped beyond this small corner of Mount Moo, and yet the path ahead already seemed daunting. The future was quite long, unpredictable, and full of endless unknowns.
After five arduous days, Sebastian and his companions finally arrived at the Ridge of Mount Moo.
The ridge was a breathtaking sight. Towering ancient trees stood beneath layers of frost, like majestic giants clad in icy armor. Snow blanketed the ground like an unblemished white carpet, creating a tranquil, majestic scene that looked like a surreal painting brought to life.
"This place is truly like an immortal's paradise! Snow-covered landscapes, ancient trees, standing resilient against the frost, and witch hazel blooming in the cold… It's far more mesmerizing than anything back at the Alpha Sect!" Sebastian remarked, captivated by the beauty surrounding him.
The endless snowy expanse, where life thrived against the bitter cold, truly seemed miraculous.
"Finally, we've reached the Ridge of Mount Moo," Nodin said, exhaling deeply. He was very exhausted from the days of travel.
Despite being visibly the weakest in the group, Sebastian remained composed, showing no signs of fatigue. His inner strength was strong enough to make anyone astonished.
The sun dipped lower on the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the snowy landscape, making it shimmer like a gilded blanket of frost.
Suddenly, a bear roared. Its thunderous bellow echoed across the ridge, shaking loose clumps of snow from the peaks. It sounded like an avalanche about to descend.
Soon, the air was filled with a cacophony of deafening bear roars, as though the entire mountain trembled beneath their fury.
"We need to keep moving and stay vigilant," Nodin whispered with a furrowed brow. "The beasts here are ferocious. I still can't fathom why the Mystic Crocodile would wander into this frozen expanse."
Nodin was very confused.
"Look! There's someone up ahead!" Sebastian's gaze sharpened as he scanned the distance, and he suddenly pivoted toward a burst of powerful energy waves emanating from the forest beyond.
A fierce battle was clearly underway, and judging by the ripples, it involved more than just a single person.
"Let's check it out," Nodin commanded with a glance at Sebastian.
Then, the five of them quickly made their way toward the disturbance.
Sure enough, a massive brown bear towering over ten feet loomed in the fray, fur thick and glistening under the golden light. Despite the combined efforts of more than a dozen women, the beast remained a force of raw destruction, relentless and overwhelming as they struggled to subdue it.
