Chapter 89 Curtis's Younger Brother

Ada was getting increasingly frustrated. Even if she harbored some other intentions, it didn't mean she wasn't trying to do a good deed. However, Sabrina did not accept her goodwill and kept bringing up Barry instead. If she could clarify her relationship with Barry, why would she even bring up this issue? "Sabrina, you'll regret this!" Sabrina was left speechless. Regret what, exactly? "It seems you've said all that you wanted to say. In that case, let's not meet again. You do your thing, and I'll be on my way." Sabrina didn't want to continue as the conversation wasn't going anywhere. She turned and walked away. "Sabrina, I'm telling you, you will regret this. You don't believe me today, but one day you will come to me. I've given you a chance today, so don't blame me if you get deceived in the future!" Ada's words sounded irritating to Sabrina. Did she really need to hear all this? Everyone around them thought that her relationship with Curtis was very intimate, and they were saying these things to provoke her and Curtis. But Sabrina really wanted to tell them that these words had no impact on her at all. Ada watched resentfully as Marcus's beat-up car entered the upscale neighborhood. When the car was finally out of view, Ada turned and left. She still had some business to attend to. She had to resolve this issue with Barry! As Marcus continued driving, he really wanted to ask Sabrina what Ada had said to her, but he didn't dare. He was afraid that he might inadvertently reveal something. So he kept to himself. It would be better for Curtis to deal with this himself later. "Ada told me that Curtis's identity isn't as simple as it seems. She also mentioned the relationship between the three of you. I'm really confused. If I didn't know better, I might have actually trusted her. Besides, is it really that strange that Curtis is being treated like a vice president in the company?" Sabrina started to ramble on to Marcus. Just as Marcus was contemplating how to answer her, he noticed something in the corner of his eye. "Oh, why is there an extra car?" Marcus, being well aware of Curtis and Victor's cars, found it strange to see an unfamiliar car parked at the villa's entrance. "Do you have guests over today? If you had told me earlier, I wouldn't have come today to avoid inconveniencing your guests," Marcus assumed Sabrina had invited someone, but her expression didn't seem any better than his. "I don't know, I've never seen this car before. Maybe someone's here to see Daniel?" Marcus thought for a moment; there was a possibility, but not a strong one. After parking the car, they entered together. They could already hear angry voices from inside. Usually, Daniel was an amiable old man, but now, just standing at the door, they could hear Daniel's rage. Puzzled, they quickly walked inside to find an unfamiliar man standing in the living room. The man had fair skin and blond hair. His height was similar to Marcus's, but he appeared to be much younger. Marcus instantly recognized the man, and his expression became incredibly unsightly. He had been wondering what could have made Daniel so angry, and now he had the answer. Sabrina hurried over to Daniel's side and saw that his face was flushed with anger. She immediately fetched him a glass of water. "Daniel, take a sip of water and calm down. What's going on? Who is he?" Daniel took a few sips of water without saying anything. "Why did you come here? Didn't Curtis tell you he didn't want to see you?" Marcus said crudely. The man was Jacob Walton, Curtis' younger brother. Jacob and Curtis were biological brothers, but they weren't fond of each other. The fact that Curtis had been with his grandfather from a young age, while Jacob had followed their father, didn't help improve their relationship. Jacob was stunned to see Marcus. A hint of sadness could be seen in his eyes. "You shouldn't show that expression in front of me. Daniel is usually very easygoing. The moment you came, you made him angry. How did you find this place? Have you forgotten what Curtis said?" Marcus struggled to hide his anger while Daniel was also experiencing a mix of emotions, mainly sadness. "I heard my brother got married, so I wanted to see who my sister-in-law is. I didn't mean to be a bother. I'll leave immediately," Jacob said, seeming anxious. "Stop pretending in front of me, just get out!" Sabrina, on the other hand, was perplexed, as she didn't know what was going on. She sat quietly beside Daniel on observed. She felt uncomfortable seeing Jacob, especially after seeing how he had managed to upset such good-natured people like Marcus and Daniel. Jacob looked deeply hurt and opened his mouth to explain, but no one gave him the chance. "In a little while, he'll be back, and seeing you will piss him off. You know how much pain the things you've done in the past have caused him. I don't want to take sides, but he's finally in a better place, so it's best if you leave," Daniel said.
