Chapter 157 Ex-Husband
Seeing the woman in front of him, who used to be so easily manipulated by him, now like this, Pearson found it quite ridiculous.
"Well, let me give you some advice too! Milin isn't an honest woman either. She could flirt with you while still married, so she'll betray you in the future."
Isaac looked at him coldly, "The fact that you can say these things shows that you're not a responsible person. You didn't protect your marriage, that's on you. Not everyone is as irresponsible as you are."
Taitis could understand what they were saying and quickly approached.
He asked expressionlessly, "Since Mom's already divorced, why bother Dad anymore?"
Milin tried to suppress her emotions. After all, he was her son, and it had been such a long time since they'd seen each other. Even if he treated her poorly, Milin still wanted to leave a gentle image.
Milin smiled, "You're not a kid anymore. I didn't come here to see your dad today. I came to talk to a friend about work. If I could, I'd prefer not to have anything to do with your family ever again. If it weren't for you, my son, I wouldn't talk to you so calmly today."
Taitis frowned, "Dad's so ungrateful, we shouldn't waste our breath on him."
Pearson said expressionlessly, "Even a child understands, yet this woman doesn't. I did all this to make our family better, but this woman is just so immature."
Charlotte couldn't stand it anymore and sneered, "Then why don't you try to put yourself in her shoes? If Milin went out to work, and you stayed home to take care of the kids, while also dealing with household chores, and if Milin came back in a bad mood, would you be happy if she scolded you? Would you still think she's trying to make the family better?"
Pearson knew he was in the wrong, but he couldn't admit it.
He took a deep breath and said coldly, "These are our family matters. If you hadn't interfered in the first place, how could we have divorced?"
Isaac interrupted him directly, "People move up, water flows down. I think you'll understand that. If you had really treated her well, you wouldn't have ended up getting divorced. As for how we got together, that's none of your business."
Pearson didn't hesitate, "How is it none of my business? If you hadn't shown up today, I wouldn't have known about her affair while we were still married. It seems that not only Charlotte's family intervened, but you're also to blame."
He said in a low voice, "We just got together recently, and I only knew she'd been divorced. She didn't tell me anything else, and I didn't know how you treated her. If it weren't for you showing up today, I wouldn't have known until now."
The pain in Isaac's eyes couldn't be hidden.
After all, they had grown up together, in similar living conditions. Seeing a girl who had been pampered by her parents since childhood suffer such inhuman treatment after marriage was heartbreaking.
Isaac really regretted it now. If only he had been braver back then, Milin wouldn't have had to suffer all these years.
"I really regret it now."
Pearson looked at him coldly, "Regret what? You tore my family apart. What else is there to regret?"
Isaac gritted his teeth, "I regret not taking her away from you back then. I thought she would have a happy life, but who knew she'd run into a scumbag like you."
Pearson rolled his eyes, "But that's what she wanted. What does it have to do with me?"
"I advise you to watch your words in the future. If I hear anyone say that I only got together with her because she cheated on you, I won't let you off!" Isaac said expressionlessly.
Pearson looked at the much younger man in front of him, threatening him like this, and couldn't help but laugh lightly.
"With so many people here, why are you so sure it was me?" he said through gritted teeth.
Isaac looked at him coldly, "Only a despicable person like you would do such a thing."
Pearson couldn't say a word with a cold face.
He admitted that he had such thoughts, but facing the threat of the man in front of him, he seemed to have no courage to do it now. But who knows if he'll have such thoughts again after today.
Pearson rubbed his sore temples, "It's because she wronged me first!"
Isaac said firmly, "Who wronged whom, you know better than anyone. I've said what I had to say today. If you dare to say anything unwarranted in the future, I won't let you off!"
Pearson immediately turned his gaze to Charlotte again, "It's all because of you! If it weren't for your instigation, Milin wouldn't have dared to divorce me!"
Charlotte said coldly, "A man like you, who forgets kindness, shouldn't be with her. She could have had a much better life, but you, during Milin's best years, gave her the worst memories."
Pearson laughed. Since the divorce, his business at the company wasn't as good as before.
So he was shifting the blame onto others, refusing to admit his own incompetence. But the fact was, he had to accept it.
Pearson thought of the troublesome things at the company, and in the end, softened, "Milin, come back. Let's remarry. I really won't do those things to you again in the future. This family can't be without you."
Charlotte really didn't expect there to be such shameless men in the world.
Clearly, it was because he coveted the power and status in Milin's family that he used all his tricks to marry her.
If it weren't for these things, perhaps there wouldn't have even been the initial affection!
Because later, Pearson got what he wanted from her, so he discarded her.
"Remarry?" Milin looked at him expressionlessly, "How dare you say that?"
"Why wouldn't I dare? You're the mother of my children. You were before, and you will be in the future. I want to remarry you for the sake of our children. What's wrong with that? Don't you miss the kids at all?"
"Why did you get together with me in the first place? I don't need to say it here, do I?" Milin said indifferently.
