Chapter 156 Friendship Between Them

Milin confessed, "I'll make it up from others. I'm not as easy to talk to when dealing with others, and I don't have to argue with them." Charlotte pursed her lips, since Milin insisted, there was nothing more to say. Milin's offered price was half of the market price, which was strange if she didn't profit from it. If they continued like this in the future, it wouldn't seem right. Since they had decided to cooperate long-term, the next batch of goods would be sold to her at market price! Milin smiled, "You know my character. Since I've decided to be friends with you, I'll stick to it." Charlotte still felt a bit guilty. She hadn't done much, just sheltered her for a few days. Milin hesitated now and calculated the profit from this batch of goods. After a moment, Milin put down her pen. "Actually, I still have some profit at this price, just a little less compared to others. You don't have to worry about that. I know what you're thinking. Do you want the next batch of goods at the normal price?" Charlotte chuckled at how serious she was. "You guessed right away what I was thinking?" Some were annoyed, some indifferent. After a while, Milin whispered, "Just rest assured. Because we're friends, I'll do it this way. If you feel guilty, then invite me to dinner more often in the future." "No problem!" Charlotte smiled. After they reached an agreement, they went downstairs. They heard footsteps behind them, and the man immediately stood up and walked towards them. "Finished your discussion?" Milin asked softly. The man shook his head, a smile still on his lips. "Why would it be boring?" Milin heard Charlotte chuckling beside her and remembered there was someone else. "I forgot to introduce you. This is my friend, Charlotte. She helped me when I got divorced." Isaac smiled and extended his hand. "Hello, I'm Isaac. Thank you for helping her. Milin often mentions you to me, saying you're very nice. Today I finally met you, and indeed, you're as she described." "Not to embarrass you, but I've been divorced before too, so I can't bear to see her hurt again like that. But now that Milin has found such a caring boyfriend like you, I can finally relax." Charlotte said seriously. Sofia has been sleeping all day, lying down whenever she had the chance. But now, she woke up, a rare occurrence since she got pregnant and rarely saw outsiders. Seeing a strange man sitting on the sofa, she couldn't help but stare at him for a few more glances because he looked so outstanding. "Who's this?" "This is my boyfriend..." Milin said softly. Sofia exclaimed, "Oh my God, really? You're in love?" Everyone laughed at her reaction, even Isaac, sitting on the sofa, had a hint of a smile on his lips. Sofia hugged her, "Congratulations, you finally got out of that terrible marriage." Seeing her with a new person, Sofia felt genuinely happy for her. Milin turned to Isaac with a happy smile, "Yes, I owe it all to you. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to do any of this on my own." Charlotte looked at Isaac seriously. "Although you two are together now, I know it might not be appropriate for me to say this as a friend, but I still want to tell you." Isaac nodded slightly. "Since we're all friends, just say it." Seeing him so calm, Charlotte didn't beat around the bush anymore. "Milin has a daughter, you know that. I hope you'll treat her like your own child. Maybe you haven't had experience with children before, but since you've decided to be with Milin, you should take responsibility for everything." Isaac might have expected Charlotte to say this. "I can do that. You can rest assured. I also know how hard it is for her to raise a child alone, so I'll take the initiative to take on those responsibilities in our daily life." With this affirmative answer, Charlotte gradually let go of her worries about this man. As long as the two of them could live well, there shouldn't be any problem. Unknowingly, Charlotte had made so many friends, and seeing Milin, who had similar experiences as her, find her happiness, everything was gradually moving in a positive direction. In the afternoon, when the two of them sent Milin and Isaac out, they happened to meet their ex-husband... Pearson frowned as he watched the two of them holding hands walking out from Charlotte's house, recalling the unpleasant things that happened when they divorced. Taitis had probably just finished school, standing at the door with him. Seeing her mother coming back, his eyes were full of disdain. Pearson rushed over, "How dare you show up in front of me again?" Milin was no longer the same as before, her face showing a confident smile. "I'm not here to find you today. I'm here to see my friend. Don't think too much about it." Although he acted boldly, he still felt a bit trembling when he thought of his previous bad behavior towards Milin. Isaac noticed Milin's slight movement in time and directly hugged her, hoping to give her some support. Perhaps stimulated by this action, Pearson rushed over regardless, wanting to punch Isaac. But Isaac easily blocked it, "What do you want to do?" "Now I know why this woman dared to divorce me. It turns out she already has someone else! I'm telling you, don't think I'll let her off just like that." Milin looked at the crazy man in front of her, shaking her head helplessly, "You're just talking tough. It's all over between us." Pearson was gasping for breath, but he remained unmoved. Clearly, from that punch just now, he realized he was definitely not Isaac's match. If they really fought, he would definitely get beaten badly.
