Only then did Rosalind realize that Adonis and Lyla had run into Meredith when they went out earlier. No wonder they got back so late. A hint of surprise flashed in Rosalind's eyes. She asked Lyla a few more questions to find out what had happened. Of course, Lyla spilled the beans about everything that transpired that morning. When Lyla first mentioned the incident at the lake, Rosalind's heart clenched with fear. She felt a lingering sense of fear upon learning that Adonis had been in danger.
