Chapter 286
Sabrina felt much more relaxed since Terry started working at Breeze Plaza. Besides, she hadn't visited since she wasn't feeling well either. However, after Elijah spoke, she lost her appetite.
As they were leaving, they ran into Dylan at the entrance.
Dylan was happy to see Sabrina but froze when he saw Elijah.
"Mrs. Tucker…"
Sabrina looked up, and Dylan quickly corrected himself, "Ms. Wyatt, nice to see you here."
Sabrina's eyes were red, and she had lost some weight. Dylan assumed Elijah must've done something, so he glared at Elijah.
Elijah, however, remained composed and polite. He had a demeanor that made it hard to hate him.
Meanwhile, Elijah was thinking about how Dylan resembled Nelson a lot.
"Dylan, I'm busy. Let's talk some other time," Sabrina said, pulling Elijah away in a hurry.
After Dylan paid the bill, he thought of calling Nelson. Ultimately, he decided it would be better to discuss this matter in person in Atrulia.
…
The shortlisted pieces for the jewelry design competition Simon and DH Corporation held were all exhibited at Breeze Plaza.
Sabrina's father used to tell her that jewelry encapsulated the essence of nature, bearing witness to millions of years of Earth's history. Jewelry also represented quality and promise. He believed that people should be as innocent and pure as gems. These were the virtues that made humans valuable.
Jewelry designers were to give soul to jewelry through creativity, craftsmanship, and inspiration, giving these gems value.
Adam's design style was influenced by their father. An emotional person would express their feelings and moods through designing jewelry.
The most popular pieces at Breeze Plaza were a set of magnolia earrings and a brooch.
It was rumored that they were Simon's favorite pieces.
The earrings featured blossoming magnolia flowers with tassels. The flowers were intricately designed, and the emerald leaves gave them an antique but expensive look.
The brooch depicted a blooming magnolia flower with its stem and leaves. The emerald leaves perfectly accentuated the flower. It was very elegantly designed.
Sabrina immediately recognized them as Adam's designs. Magnolias were his favorite flowers.
She felt overwhelmed with emotions but had to maintain her calm composure. She didn't understand why Adam hadn't returned home.
Elijah stood beside her and asked, "Are they?"
Sabrina nodded and said, "It looks like they are. Are there any others besides this one?"
Elijah seemed hesitant to speak.
"What is it?"
"You can ask Nelson about this."
"What do you mean?"
…
Dylan was surprised to see Fiona when he arrived at Atrulia. He asked Hank about it.
"She's Mr. Tucker's girlfriend," Hank replied.
Dyan frowned and asked, "His girlfriend? Are you sure?"
Hank leaned in closer and whispered, "Isn't she? Ms. Banks said it herself."
Dyan glared at Hank and retorted, "Do you believe everything she says? Stop spreading rumors."
Nelson would be in trouble if this rumor got home and Sabrina found out.
Hank nodded and explained, "I didn't spread the rumor. Everyone just assumes that Ms. Banks is Mr. Tucker's girlfriend."
Dylan saw Nelson was looking at his phone with his brows furrowed.
Sabrina told Nelson she had something to discuss with him. But why couldn't she call back when he didn't return her calls?
He threw his phone on the table.
"What is it?"
Dylan nodded and handed the documents to Nelson.
Dylan said, "I've hidden all the information about Adam. Didn't you say to pay special attention to Elijah? He's investigating Adam."
Nelson closed the file. "Was Sabrina upset when you told her about Adam?"
