Chapter 285

Ten minutes later, Sabrina and Elijah got into the car. He didn't bring her to a high-end restaurant. Instead, he brought her to a private kitchen. He didn't order a lot. He ordered grilled fish, chicken noodle soup, and other dishes. "These dishes are very local." "This fish doesn't have a lot of bones. It's fresh, so it's not fishy at all." Elijah cut a piece for Sabrina. Sabrina took a bite and found it tasty. She ate very slowly. It was something she concluded recently. If she ate too quickly or if the scent was too strong, she would throw up. "How many months has it been?" Elijah asked. Sabrina ate slowly and answered him, "Almost three months." "This child is amazing. You were so busy previously. It must have been difficult for them to survive." Sabrina felt warm. It was the first time someone talked to her this way after knowing that she was pregnant. It was different from Abigail's worries. It was soothing. Sabrina looked at Elijah and said, "Yeah. I think the baby's quite strong." It was advised to take care of the baby well for the first three months. However, she had been pulling all-nighters because of her work, yet the baby was fine when she went for a check-up. "So, you should take care of your meals. I heard that it isn't good for the child's brain if you don't eat well. Look at you. I bet you've barely eaten lately." "I keep throwing up. I don't dare to tell my mother about this either. I feel lost," she said with her head down. Her pregnancy was too sudden. She had never experienced a pregnancy before, and the same went for Abigail and Chelsea. They were all confused. Besides, she hadn't decided if she should keep the child, let alone anything else. "This isn't the Sabrina I know. You're feeling lost?" Elijah said. His tone was light as he pushed the dishes toward her. "Actually, I haven't decided if I should keep the child." "It doesn't matter. Your health is most important. If you aren't healthy, how are you going to take care of the child or make a career?" Elijah's appearance was like a reassurance to Sabrina. She let out a sigh of relief before looking at him. At that moment, she thought that he was a lot like her brother. She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. She felt as though he was her family member. He took care of her feelings and guided her. However, while Sabrina was eating, she still felt the urge to throw up. After that, her eyes became watery. Elijah pushed the dishes to her again. "Go ahead and eat. As long as the child is in your stomach, you have to be responsible for it. Even if you don't want the child, you need to be responsible for yourself. Take good care of your meals." Sabrina nodded. "Got it." During the meal, she puked two times. Elijah waited for her to finish eating patiently. He wasn't irritated at all. When he saw her watery eyes, his heart skipped a beat. "Did you have a child before?" Sabrina asked. Elijah chuckled. "No, but my family members have gotten pregnant before. So, I overheard some of the knowledge." Sabrina nodded before saying, "What was it that you wanted to tell me earlier on the phone?" "I found something about Adam." Sabrina felt her chest tighten. "My brother?" She couldn't help but become excited. She even wondered if Adam was still alive since Chelsea was. Nonetheless, she didn't dare to have such delusions. But the news Elijah brought her made her dare to speculate and think about it. "But I'm not very sure about it. It's just that I saw a jewelry design that's similar to Adam's style. I'm not certain that it's his. If you have the time, you can ask Mr. Nash about it." Sabrina was stunned. "Are you talking about Mr. Nash's jewelry design competition?"
