Amaze Everyone When School Starts

Valentina spent the night in a hotel before she went to register at the university the next day. Dragging her suitcase, Valentina stood at the impressive entrance of Biddeford University for a while, slightly tilting her head up. With the original Valentina's grades, personality, and background, she could predict her future easily. Without any surprises, after she had graduated from high school, she'd work in a supermarket or factory, continuously being bullied while tirelessly working, only for her poor salary to be exploited by Selena. When she reached a suitable age for marriage, unable to resist Selena, she was married off without any fuss for some betrothal gifts. Her life post-marriage wouldn't be any better either. Now, she had taken the original Valentina's place and had become a student at Biddeford University, leading an entirely new life. The original Valentina could rest in peace, couldn't she? With one hand in her pocket and dragging her suitcase, Valentina stepped into Biddeford University. Under the shade of trees, senior students were energetically welcoming new students, passing out bottles of water, helping with luggage - they were rushed off their feet. The passionate seniors of other departments made the handful from the Computer Science Department seem dull in comparison, each of them lying listlessly on the table. When a freshman came by, their guidance was lackluster. "Walk straight for 300 meters, then take a right for 200 meters, followed by a left... Register yourself, then find a map to locate your dormitory." "But, in other departments, the girls guide them. Why don't we have any?" The senior bit back a curse. Considering that the student was new, he decided to endure it. Mockingly, he spoke, "What's on your mind, kid? Altogether, there aren't even 200 girls in our department. It would be a divine blessing to have ten girls in a single class. How could I bear to let them carry your luggage under the burning sun and do this heavy work? Quickly get in. Stop daydreaming." Annoyed, he sent off the freshman. The freshman muttered, "I should not have enrolled in computer science." The senior said, "It's not too late to change your course now. I wouldn't mind if I'm the only guy left." As the student council president, Micheal Cromwell was a bit speechless. "Quit your nonsense, Aaron. Be serious." Aaron Tyson quickly nodded. "Yes, I was just joking." Valentina took a quick glance at them. Aaron slumped back onto the desk. "Lord, please send a girl here." Valentina approached. "As a freshman, what's the procedure?" She was an assassin, totally unfamiliar with these things. "Hmm? A girl?" Aaron looked up instantly, and a flawless beauty came into view. He held his breath. "Holy crap." He stood up so abruptly that his knee knocked the table over, sending Micheal, who was leaning on the table, tumbling forward. Micheal wanted to curse aloud as he fell to the ground, but a firm hand caught his shoulder just in time. Following the delicate arm upwards, he saw a girl with a composed expression, her one hand casually tucked into her trouser pocket. In a split second, Micheal's heart rate sped up uncontrollably, and he forgot to get himself up. The girl helped him rise and took him by his left shoulder back to his chair. Micheal froze. He hadn't suspected that a girl could be so strong. The commotion was a bit loud, awakening everyone who was dozing off. At the sight of Valentina, they all swarmed around like bees to honey, not one of them caring about Micheal. Aaron, who was thoroughly amazed, took a deep breath, his face glowing with excitement. "You're a new student, right? From our Computer Science department?" Valentina nodded. "Hmm." Because of this major, Geoffrey called her frequently, persuading her to change her major. At hearing this, their eyes sparkled like light bulbs. Valentina asked, "Where do I sign up?" Aaron replied, "What's your name? Let me register it." "Valentina Ricardo." "Valentina? Sounds familiar." Aaron found the information after a quick search. "From Mapleville?" It seemed more familiar now. "Holy shit, Valentina? Are you that girl who scored perfectly without even writing the composition part? The principle personally visited your home, right?" "You're not only pretty but also a genius." The senior students exclaimed in admiration and cheered. "The Computer Science Department will surely rise this year." "Have some water first." Aaron quickly grabbed a bottle of mineral water and ran around the table. "Let me take you to the registration... " "No, let me take you. I'll carry your luggage." "I'll do it. I'm stronger. Give the luggage to me." Suddenly, they started arguing. Valentina, with her suitcase in tow, dodged the extended hands. "Thank you, but there's no need to send me. Just enlighten me with the process, and I'll handle it myself." "Allow me to accompany you for registration. The campus is huge, and you might lose your way." Micheal came back to his senses and stood up. Valentina glimpsed at him. He looked earnest. "Thanks." Valentina, pushing her suitcase, walked away first. Micheal hurriedly followed. "Let me help you." Aaron and others roared in desperation, "Damn, when will this world stop giving favor to good-looking people?" "Look at her face, temperament, and skin. Isn't she far more beautiful than Belle, the school beauty queen?" "Who dares to call our Computer Science Department a nest of bachelors afterward? Just this one can outshine an entire department." "Such a beauty, I wonder if she's already taken?" "Just keep your mouth shut." Felton Group. Lewis delivered documents to William. William was signing the files and suddenly asked, "The new students are enrolling at Biddeford University today. Is there any young family member who is attending Biddeford University?" "Huh?" Lewis was puzzled by the question. William asked, "What about the relatives' side?" Lewis was even more confused. "No, no one." Then William stopped speaking and handed him the signed documents. Lewis, holding the documents, stepped out of his office in a daze. "Is Uncle William's fatherly love overflowing with age, wanting to have a child of his own, and to personally send the child to school?" Lewis mumbled to himself. Was William wanting to send his child off to school? Or did he want to attend Biddeford University? He had been acting a bit strange since he returned from Chadron. In the end, Micheal was unable to help Valentina with her luggage. "Thank you for just now," Micheal initiated a conversation. "It's nothing," replied Valentina, dismissing his gratitude. "My name is Micheal, and I'm part of the student council, a junior. You can reach out to me anytime you need help." At that moment, a male voice called out, "Micheal." Micheal turned around to find it was his brother, Paul, who was accompanied by the recently well-known 'female math genius' Diana. "Hey, Paul," Micheal replied. Paul approached. "Grandfather wants us to come over for dinner tonight." "Okay," acquiesced Micheal. Out of politeness, Micheal introduced Paul to Valentina, "This is my George, Paul Cromwell." Hearing the familiar name, Valentina remembered him as the mathematical genius Augus admired. Paul briefly glanced at Valentina, casually nodding his head as a form of greeting. "That's just how Paul is. I hope you don't mind," Micheal said to Valentina. Paul was notably aloof and solitary, his world encompassed by mathematics. Through these many years, the only girl who could reside by his side was none other than Diana. Micheal was worried Valentina might be offended, but against his expectations, Valentina was even colder, completely ignoring Paul's curt greeting. Rather, she glanced at Diana who was walking towards her. "Micheal." Diana walked to stand beside Paul and waved at Micheal. "Um," Micheal responded indifferently. For some reason, he didn't have a good impression of Diana, feeling she was a bit insincere from the start. A few days ago, a stray cat brushed against her shoes, and she kicked the cat away unceremoniously. Micheal was standing upstairs at the time, seeing it all clearly, and was indeed shocked by Diana's harsh look. She was nothing like the compassionate, elegant, and virtuous girl he normally saw. Watching Paul getting closer and closer to Diana, and her intentions being so obvious, Micheal was anxious. He was afraid Paul would fall for this girl who was not what she seemed. "Who's this?" Diana turned her gaze to Valentina. When she saw Valentina's face clearly, she was taken aback. Yesterday, Selena sent her a covertly taken picture of a girl. The background was their house. She asked Selena who this beautiful girl was. When she was told it was slimmed-down Valentina, she didn't believe it at all. Selena secretly took a picture of Valentina to warn her so that she would not make a mess due to not recognizing Valentina, and accidentally spill the beans about the math problem. From yesterday to now, Diana had been restless. Looking at the picture of Valentina on her phone, she was so jealous. She didn't expect to meet Valentina on the first day of school. And Valentina was even more beautiful than in the photo. Diana's emotions were a bit stirred, her face slightly contorted, staring hard at Valentina's face, her teeth almost grinding. "This is a new student, Valentina. She is also from Mapleville, like you." Micheal paused and then added, "She even has the same surname as you." "You don't look well. Are you okay?" Paul asked Diana.
