Chapter 509 I Am Adorable!

Heaton got home early from work because he had to take care of the two children at home. The original ruthless career-driven man had been reduced to a full-time stay-at-home father. Even though there was a babysitter and maids at home, that baby was still too young since he was only three months old. He still needed to be fed. When Heaton had only taken his tie off while he unbuttoned his shirt and was walking to the baby's room, he could hear the ear-piercing wails of the baby's cries. The babysitter was comforting him. However, no matter how much she tried to coax him, the baby would not stop crying. Both of the baby's eyes were red, so Heaton raised his brows slightly. His mind was in a complete mess from the baby's cries. "Let me carry him." The babysitter was stunned. She had been there for two to three months, and Madam was usually the one who would carry and coax the child. She had never seen Mr. Fudd carried the baby, and he always had a cold expression on his face. However, his expression would ease when he was in front of Madam and Little Jelly Bean. How could he possibly coax the child? The babysitter handed the baby to Heaton hesitantly. As expected, when the baby noticed Heaton's menacing face, he cried louder. Heaton frowned deeper as he had no idea what had happened. He wondered if Little Pickle intentionally wanted to torture his father. "Your mother doesn't want you anymore, and if you keep crying, I won't want you either." The babysitter was speechless. Why would anyone comfort a child like that? Little Pickle continued to wail. His reply to Heaton was a series of loud wails and cries. The babysitter cautiously told Heaton, "Mr. Fudd, you can't coax a child with intimidation. Little Pickle is still young, and you'll need to carry him and rock him gently back and forth to comfort him." It was true that Heaton was the one who raised Little Jelly Bean, but she was much easier to coax than that little rascal. Little Jelly Bean also laughed frequently, unlike the little rascal who cried so easily. Heaton coaxed Little Pickle patiently for a really long until he had calmed down significantly. However, it did not take long for Heaton's relaxed brows to tense again. Heaton's palm felt warm, so he knew something was wrong. The babysitter could also tell that something was wrong, so she asked, "Is there something wrong, Mr. Fudd?" "The child seemed to have wet himself." The babysitter was speechless. Heaton's face turned bitter. The babysitter immediately took the baby from him and said, "Mr. Fudd, why don't you go and change your clothes? I'll change the child's diaper." Heaton felt slightly helpless as he stared at his completely urine-soaked clothes. He went to the washroom to take a shower and changed into a casual set of clothes. However, when he got out of the washroom, he could hear Madam Leah screaming for help. "Young Master! Little Jelly Bean accidentally slipped in the washroom!" Heaton's heart thumped before he quickly ran downstairs. Madam Leah covered Little Jelly Bean with a pink bathrobe in the washroom. The little rascal was crying her lungs out. Heaton helped Little Jelly Bean up and asked, "What happened?" Madam Leah stuttered as she was startled from the ordeal. "I don't know why Little Jelly Bean would take a shower on her own." Heaton carried Little Jelly Bean out from the washroom and asked, "Did you hurt yourself?" "Daddy, my hands hurt." Little Jelly Bean's eyes were completely in tears as she cried and pouted. Heaton reached out to touch her as he said, "Raise your hands. I'll see if you're able to move them." Little Jelly Bean obediently raised both of her arms; her movement was very smooth. It was only then that Heaton was relieved. After he carried Little Jelly Bean to her room, he questioned her sternly. "Why didn't you look for Madam Leah or me to help you bathe? You're not allowed to bathe on your own next time. Do you understand?" Little Jelly Bean wiped her tears and spoke in a depressing tone, "I noticed you were busy with Little Brother, and Madam Leah was busy preparing dinner, so I decided to take a shower on my own since Monty isn't here. Monty's the one who usually bathes me." Heaton sighed as he pressed on his brows. Then he said, "But Monty isn't here right now, so you'll have to tell either Madam Leah or me before you do anything." Perhaps his tone sounded too stern, which caused Little Jelly Bean to cry even harder. As she wiped her tears, she climbed out of her bed, dragged her little bag behind her, and exclaimed, "Daddy, you're mean to me the moment Monty left! I want to run away from home…" She continued to wail. Heaton sat on her tiny pink bed and stared intensely at the little rascal as he said, "Go ahead then. I'm not going to stop you. Don't come home when you get hungry out there." Little Jelly Bean was speechless. The little girl pouted and glared furiously at Heaton with her teary red eyes. "Daddy, you're bullying me!" "Didn't you say you want to run away from home? How am I bullying you?" Little Jelly Bean fumed as she hugged her small backpack and sat on the floor in her tiny pink bathrobe. Heaton stared at her and said, "Not leaving now?" "Hmph." The little rascal wanted to save her pride, so she climbed up, dragged her small Peppa Pig backpack behind her, and walked out of her room. She said, "I want to take a flight to look for Monty! Hmph!" Heaton stared at her short figure as his frustrations faded. He smirked. Little Jelly Bean hid behind the door as she leaned against the wall behind her. She peeked at Heaton and intentionally raised her voice and said, "I'm really going now!" Heaton remained silent. Little Jelly Bean scoffed again before she pouted and frowned as she reminded again, "I am really mad! Going for real now! You won't be able to find me ever again, Daddy, so don't regret it!" Heaton no longer wished to tease her, so he got up and walked toward her. He looked at the little rascal beside his leg. She leaned against the wall as she sat on the floor. She crossed her tiny arms in front of her chest. She looked furious, and she resembled an angry kitten. She looked adorable. "Why aren't you running away, little kitten?" Heaton nudged Little Jelly Bean with his foot. He intentionally pretended to kick her out. Little Jelly Bean hugged her little arms and scoffed hard before she pouted and said, "Hmph! I'm not leaving! I'm not a little kitten! I am adorable!" Heaton was speechless. Wow, how old was she to have mastered the skills of acting so coquettishly? It would be really bad when she grew older. Heaton's face was no longer as cold anymore since Little Jelly Bean knew how to 'adapt to the situation'; both her arms hugged Heaton's thighs. She raised her tiny face and spoke in a childish tone, "Daddy, you're not allowed to be mean to me anymore, or I will really run away from home." Heaton had to admit that his attitude earlier was a little too stern. He crouched, hugged her, and said, "Alright then, Daddy won't be mean to you anymore in the future. However, you need to listen to us obediently, and you are not allowed to do anything so dangerous. You're still too young, and what if you slip in the washroom when you're showering again? Not only will I be worried about you, but your grandpa will also blame me for not taking good care of you." Little Jelly Bean pouted and obediently said, "Okay, Daddy, I won't sneak in and take a shower alone next time." "Okay. Good girl." Little Jelly Bean hugged Heaton's neck and said, "Daddy, is my brother asleep yet?" "The babysitter had just finished changing his diapers. He should be asleep now." "Daddy, when is Monty coming back? Let's give her a call! Let's tell her that my brother is crying all the time, and we can't even coax him so that Monty will come back soon!"
