I Am A Proprietor

"The Brown family?" Mrs. Gideon looked at Carroll. Obviously, she was intimidated by Carroll's domineering vibe. However, she soon came to her senses and said, "Some branch of the Brown family, I think, but my husband works under Carroll." Mrs. Gideon sounded proud as if her husband was Carroll. However, Carroll was my husband. Holding my hand, Carroll said in a low voice, "You strolled at night and got yourself into trouble!" I pouted and tried to defend myself. "Her dog was the starter." Pointing at my nose, Mrs. Gideon began to curse, "What is wrong with you? Your dog bit mine, but you shift the blame on me!" I pushed her hand away and said, "Who is shifting the blame? I demand to check the surveillance video!" "All right, all right, stop arguing!" The manager finally lost his patience. "Your name is Kelly, right? Did you get permission to raise a dog here?" "What? Permission?" I asked wittingly, "Did she?" "I own an apartment here, and my husband is an important employee of the Brown Group. It's their fault! Wait! I'll send a message to my husband." Mrs. Gideon looked guilty. Obviously, she didn't get permission. I got the meaning between the lines and burst into laughter. Hearing me laugh, Carroll asked with a hint of a smile in his eyes, "What are you laughing at?" I squatted down and stroked Wolfie on the head. "She keeps mentioning her husband. Doesn't she have her own life? How can she be so proud of being a parasite?" Carroll lost his patience too. He pulled me to sit on the bench and then sent a message to Jason. "Well, both of you call for help. Okay, let's wait and see." The manager didn't want to get involved in trouble. It was understandable because the residents here were rich or powerful. Therefore, the manager didn't want to offend any of them. I understood the manager, but Carroll didn't. He ruffled my hair irritably and said, "Let Wolfie do his job if you encounter the unreasonable again." "Dogs or humans?" I whispered in Carroll's ear and then laughed loud. "Both!" Carroll said coldly. I was still chatting with Carroll when Jason came in a hurry. Not far behind Jason was a middle-aged man in navy blue silk pajamas, yawning. That must be the famous Karry. Karry was thin and had a loud voice. "What's wrong? Who hurt my baby?" Baby? That old woman? Disgusting! However, I made a mistake. His baby was that Komondor with a long face. Oh, Afghan Hound! Karry jogged. Then, he squatted in front of me, held the dog's head, and said in a trembling voice, "Oh, my baby! Why do you bleed so much?" Jason stood there for a while. He cleared his throat and then said with a smile, "Karry, you can't see me anymore, can you?" "Who are you?" Karry wiped away his crocodile tears, looked back, and then stood rooted on the spot. "Mr. Carroll's assistant?" "Mr. Carroll's assistant?" "Mr. Carroll's assistant?" Surprised, the manager and Mrs. Gideon repeated the question at the same time. "Look! I offered to accompany you to the hospital. However, you said that I couldn't afford compensation!" I shrugged. The line from the soap dramas echoed in my mind. "You should know what is good for you." Mrs. Gideon glared at me. "Sir, is this Wolfie?" "No." Jason stopped smiling. Mrs. Gideon became spirited again. "Look, this wicked girl secretly raises a dog in your house." The corners of Jason's mouth went downward. "Karry, go get half a year's salary from the financial department tomorrow." After the shock, Karry stood up and bowed. "Oh no, too much. My baby, a bit unruly, offended Wolfie." "You're fired." Karry stood rooted to the spot. "What?" "This is Mrs. Brown, the proprietor of No. 57 in Sky City." Double kills. Karry was in a panic now. He turned to look at me and stammered, "Mrs. Brown." Right then, Carroll next to me slowly took off his cap. Karry slumped onto the ground and burst into tears as if his father died. "Mr. Carroll, I am terribly sorry. I didn't know she was your wife." Aghast, Mrs. Gideon carried the dog with one hand and pulled Karry up from the ground with the other one. "Hey, isn't Mr. Carroll dead?" "Shut up! Ignorant woman!" Karry scolded his wife harshly. "Shameful! What can you do but show off with my title? I am fed up with you. Let's get divorced tonight." Mrs. Gideon raised her voice in an instant. "I dare you!" "Just you wait!" ... When the couple was in a big fight, Carroll pulled me up. "Well, do you still want to watch the farce?" "No. They are no different from the shrews in our village." I pulled up Wolfie, who lay on the ground and secretly bared his teeth at Mrs. Gideon. "Let's go. We should have a heart." Something came up to my mind, so I looked back and said to Mrs. Gideon, "Women should have their own businesses. Look at you! You kept bragging about your husband. You get a divorce now." "You!" Mrs. Gideon tried to talk back, but Karry instantly interrupted her. "You what? Apologize to Mrs. Brown, now!" "She had better kneel down." I put my hands on my hips. "She asked me to kneel down and apologize to her dog just now. Shouldn't she do the same to my Wolfie?" "Did she?" Carroll casually rested his arm on my shoulder. His tone was as cold as ice. Shivering with fear, Karry forced his wife, who wore high heels, to kneel on the ground and said, "Quick, apologize to Mrs. Brown's pet." Mrs. Gideon came to her senses and instantly lowered her head. "Good boy, Mr. Dog, I am sorry. I am terribly sorry for offending you!" The insolent Mrs. Gideon was gone. "Mr. Carroll's assistant?"
