Chapter 1254

He held a pair of binoculars, enjoying the distant firelight with a wicked smile. After a while, Rory put down the binoculars and looked at Adam behind him, feeling quite pleased. "I told you it would work. Look at that." To blow up this church, he did not hesitate to have all the alcohol and fuel oil from the cruise ship brought here. He was quite eccentric! Adam looked at Rory and reminded him. "Without fuel on the cruise ship, even if we find Zoe, we won't be able to leave this island." Rory chuckled. "Isn't there Kyle? We can borrow a cruise ship from him." Adam raised an eyebrow. "Even if he doesn't kill us, do you expect him to lend us a cruise ship?" ‘What was he thinking?’ Adam thought. Rory tossed the binoculars to Adam with a casual attitude. He sat down in a chair next to the tent, legs crossed. "He won't do it unless he completely disregards Zoe's life." Adam frowned, staring at Rory. "What do you mean by that?" Rory said nothing but raised his hand to signal one of his men to pour him a glass of red wine. Seeing Rory's confident demeanor, Adam suddenly realized something, his expression changing. "Rorr, you can't be thinking." "That's exactly what I'm thinking." Adam took a sharp breath. "Rorr." It would be too cruel if he treated Zoe that way! Rory accepted the glass of red wine gracefully, interrupting Adam's words. "I don't want Zoe to become another Mable.” His biggest regret now was not being tough on Mable earlier and ending her delusions. He would not make the same mistake again. Adam looked at Rory, understanding what he intended to do, and quickly tried to persuade him. "Rorr, you should know that Zoe didn't betray Secret. She's injured and has amnesia, she doesn't remember." "So, you'll give her a chance." Rory locked eyes with Adam, his gaze dark. "This is her only chance, Adam. I've been more than merciful to her. Otherwise, I wouldn't have spared her when I found out she was with Kyle!" Adam's spine stiffened, and he opened his mouth but said nothing. Rory glanced at the time and looked out over the endless sea. "It's almost dawn." The climax of the plot was about to begin. Richworth. Mable woke up naturally from her sleep. She would have wanted to sleep a bit longer if it were not for her growling stomach. Not seeing Blair in the bedroom, Mable freshened up and changed her clothes. As she walked out, she saw Amos rushing out of the study at the end of the hallway. Amos stopped when he saw Mable and greeted her, "Good morning, Madam." "Is Blair in the study?" Mable asked. Amos nodded. "What's going on?" Mable inquired. She had agreed with Blair to take it easy and relax at the Mair Manor for these two days, regardless of work. However, Amos' expression indicated that something had happened. Amos did seem a bit anxious. "It's a bit complicated, Madam. You'd better ask Master Blair. I have some urgent matters to attend to. Goodbye, Madam." Mable nodded. "Goodbye." After Amos left, Mable went to the study. Upon entering, she found Blair sitting at his desk, rapidly typing on the computer keyboard with his earphones, talking to someone, obviously engrossed in his work. “If Rory didn’t bring more men, it would be more dangerous. He seems arrogant but wouldn’t wage a war he wasn’t certain about. You need to be more prepared for what’s coming.” Mable furrowed her brows when she heard Rory’s name was mentioned. "What happened?" Mable asked as she approached. Blair looked up when he heard Mable’s voice. "Mabes, you're awake." Mable walked closer, a hint of worry in her eyes. "Did Rory bring trouble to you?" Blair did not answer immediately and instead said to the person on the phone, “Let’s prepare the things I’ve instructed first.” Blair removed his earphones, placed them aside, and pulled Mable to sit beside him.
