Chapter 1245

Blair's kiss was gentle, like savoring a delicious dessert. For him, Mable's lips were more tempting than anything he had ever tasted. With a single kiss, Blair felt a hint of sweetness in his heart and saw hope. It seemed like she was not as resistant to him anymore. After all the time he had invested, there was finally some progress. Blair reluctantly released Mable and gently touched her blushing cheeks, saying, "Mabes, thank you for the birthday gift. I love it." Mable bit her lip. She was still dazed from the kiss and had not regained her composure. Blair handed the tie to Mable and said, "I'd like to try it on. Can you help me with it?" "Oh, sure." Mable took the tie and pushed Blair's shoulder slightly to create some distance between them. Blair was much taller than her, so she had to tiptoe to fix the tie for him. Blair gazed at Mable with an incredibly tender expression. "Done," she said after a while. She held Blair's hand and stood together in front of the full-length mirror in the dressing room. "Does it look good?" Mable asked. "More than just good. It's perfect." Blair looked at himself in the mirror. The tie matched his usual style and temperament. Blair then turned to Mable and asked, "Mabes, do you know the meaning behind giving a tie as a gift?" Mable was taken aback. “Is there a special meaning behind giving a tie?” "Of course." Blair raised an eyebrow. "Since you give me a tie, don't you want to keep me? Have me by your side forever?" Mable twitched her lips, surprised that a tie could have such a meaning. "I didn't think that far." Mable tried to explain, but Blair hugged her and interrupted her words. "Don't worry, Mable. I'll be bound to you for the rest of my life by wearing the tie you gave me. I'll never leave you." ‘I won't let you leave me either,’ he thought. Mable could not help but feel a bit dissatisfied. "I think you made that up yourself. How can a tie have such a meaning?" Blair chuckled softly into her ear but did not say anything. Just then, they heard Lemon crying from the next room. Both Mable and Blair were startled and immediately forgot about their tender moment. They rushed to the children's room. It turned out that Lemon had woken up, and the nanny was changing her diaper. Lemon was still half asleep and was crying in discomfort. After changing her diaper and washing her face, Mable carried Lemon downstairs for breakfast. "Blair, Mable, you're awake! Come and taste the freshly squeezed pomegranate juice. It's super fresh. Spike, Nicki, and I picked it from the tree early this morning," Tracey exclaimed. Spike rushed over, saying, "Good morning, Daddy and Mommy! Good morning, Little Lemon!" "I was wondering why it was so noisy this morning. So, you three were picking pomegranates," Mable commented as she walked to the dining room. She accepted the pomegranate juice Tracey handed her and took a sip. It was indeed lovely. Blair also tasted it and nodded. "The fruit in the Manor has grown well this year, much better than the previous two years." Mable looked at everyone and suggested, "How about we peel some pomegranate seeds later and make a cake in the afternoon? The apples are ripe, too. We can pick some apples after lunch, and I'll make apple pie." "Great!" Nicki was the first to respond. Back to climbing trees again! After breakfast, Mable and Blair took the children to the orchard. The fruit trees in the yard were taken care of by dedicated gardeners, and they had effective measures to prevent mosquitoes and insects. So, even in the hot summer, there were hardly any bugs around.
