Chapter 1244

"What are you guys doing down there?" In the garden below, Tracey stood with her hands on her hips, directing Nicki and Spike to pick pomegranates. Hearing Blair's voice, the three of them looked up and saw Blair in his bathrobe, standing on the balcony, his face full of displeasure. "Daddy." "Uncle Blair!" "Blair!" The three of them spoke at the same time. Tracey raised the large pomegranate and said, "We're picking pomegranates." Blair glared at Tracey. "Quiet down, you're making too much noise!" "It's already late, and you guys haven't woken up?" Tracey teased with a sly smile, "Could it be that you stayed up late last night? I understand now. We'll be quiet and not disturb you and Mabes ‘sleeping in’." Blair looked at the two children in the tree and furrowed his brows slightly. "Be careful and don't fall." Blair never spoiled the children, so he never had to scold them. The pomegranate tree was not very tall, and with Tracey and the servants watching nearby, Blair was not too worried. Spike sat on the tree trunk and said to his dad, "Daddy, happy birthday!" Nicki quickly followed, "Happy birthday, Uncle Blair!" Blair nodded and turned back to the bedroom. There, Mable was already sitting up. "What time is it?" Mable asked when she saw Blair coming in. "It's eight thirty," Blair replied, sitting beside Mable and running his fingers through her hair. "Sleep a little more." Mable stretched lazily. "I'm not going to sleep anymore." Last night, when they came over, Mable had initially planned to sleep in the adjacent room, but it had been "taken" by Tracey. Since there were no other beds besides the children's room, Blair had pulled her into the master bedroom. Mable knew these were Blair's little tricks but did not expose him. She had stayed in his bedroom overnight. Sharing a bed with him was slightly uncomfortable and nerve-wracking, and she had not fallen asleep until the latter half of the night when she felt Blair had already fallen asleep. "Let's get ready. We'll have breakfast downstairs in a bit." "Okay." Mable got up to freshen up and changed into a light yellow dress before getting downstairs. "I almost forgot." Mable took out something from the cabinet and handed it to Blair. "Blair, happy birthday." Blair looked at the box in Mable's hand, his eyes filled with surprise. "Is this for me?" Mable nodded. "Yes, it's a birthday gift. I hope you'll like it." Blair took it and opened it, finding a tie inside. He noticed the embroidery underneath the tie. "Love for life." Mable looked at Blair with starry eyes. Blair held Mable's hand, drawing closer to her. Mable instinctively wanted to back away, but Blair continued to advance, eventually trapping her between the wardrobe and himself. "What are you doing?" Mable asked, turning her face away from his gaze. Blair chuckled lightly, and his breath brushed against her face. "Mabes, do you have something to say to me?" Mable turned her face away, not meeting his eyes. "No." "Really? But I do." Blair gently pinched Mable's chin, forcing her to look at him. "Mabes, you are the love of my life." Mable's heart skipped a beat. At the next moment, the man's fiery lips fiercely came down upon her.
