Chapter 1237
At Bay Island.
Upon arriving there, Zoe still felt a bit uneasy. She had not slept well last night.
However, the environment on Bay Island completely resonated with her young heart.
There was sunshine, sandy beaches, clear blue seas, and coconut trees. They lived in a villa nestled against a lush hill, with a backyard filled with flowers that Zoe loved.
After breakfast, Zoe could not wait for a walk by the seaside. She had wanted to go last night, but Kyle had mentioned that the sea breeze could be vital at night and did not let her go.
"Put your hat on," Kyle said as he grabbed Zoe and placed the hat on her head.
Zoe did not want to wear it and pouted. "But there's no wind outside."
"The winds by the seaside come and go in gusts, and it's also quite sunny at this hour. Wearing a hat can protect you from the sun," Kyle advised.
Kyle lovingly pinched Zoe's cheek. "Now that you’re carrying our child, you must be more careful. You can't be as careless as before."
Zoe covered her face with both hands and playfully stuck out her tongue. "Well, as long as I have you by my side, I can be a little careless occasionally."
Kyle chuckled. "What if I'm not by your side?"
Zoe widened her eyes. "Where are you going if not with me? Don't you want me anymore?"
"Silly, how could I not want you?"
Kyle hugged Zoe and planted a kiss on her lips. "Zoe, unless you don't want me, I will never leave you."
"Hehe."
The two of them lingered in the living room for quite some time, being affectionate with each other before finally holding hands and heading to the seaside for a walk.
"Ky, I checked the weather forecast earlier. The weather will be good for the next few days. Can you take me to explore the island? I heard from the butler that there are many fun places on the island," Zoe suggested.
Kyle replied, "Sure, we'll be here for several months, so we have plenty of time."
Zoe added, "Once my belly grows and I become less mobile, I probably won't want to wander around anymore. I want to explore all the fun places while my belly is still small."
"Okay, we'll have it your way then."
…
Meanwhile, a cruise sailed quietly on the sea surface less than three hundred nautical miles from Bay Island.
On the deck of the cruise ship, a man in a white suit leaned on the railing, his sharp eyes hidden behind sunglasses, staring fixedly at the boundless sea.
At that moment, an umbrella was held over his head.
Holding the umbrella, Adam stood behind Rory and said, "The sun is intense at sea. If we stay under it too long, we'll all turn black."
Rory impatiently removed his sunglasses and looked at Adam with cold eyes. "How much longer until we reach the shore?"
Adam checked the time and replied, "We still have seven to eight hours at sea. We'll dock at night."
Rory furrowed his brow. They were already very close to Bay Island. Why did they have to wait for such a long time?
Adam explained, "Bay Island is under Blair and Kyle's control. If we were to land on the island during the day, we would be exposed. So, the best approach is to secretly land from the small bay on the east side at night."
They had found out that Kyle had brought Zoe to Bay Island. Initially, they had planned to come by private plane, but there was only one airport on the island.
They had to land without alerting Kyle. That was why they ultimately chose the sea route, which was safer for them. After all, as long as they were at sea, it was their territory.
Rory gazed toward Bay Island, his face darkening to the extreme. "Do we have any updates on the people we sent to keep an eye on Zoe?"
"Not yet. I'll contact them again shortly."
Rory let out a cold laugh, his dark eyes showing no emotion. He turned and walked away.
