After breakfast, Isabella asked Austin, “Are you free to take me to the office?” Austin was stunned for a moment. He did not expect her to ask him to drive her to work. “Of course. I’ll start preparing for lunch after sending you to work.” Austin could not ask for anything more. Since Isabella had a driver, he rarely had the chance to drive her. Isabella nodded. She told Louis and Phillip, “Now that you’ve had breakfast, you should head to school. Don’t be late.” The boys looked toward her, then Austin. Ten minutes later, Austin and Isabella left the manor with him driving. They had bodyguards in two other cars following them from behind. The driver stood and watched as the three cars left. He looked worried. His job could be snatched away by Austin. Why was Austin, a chef, driving Ms. Isabella? He was clearly stealing his job. “What happened?” Dominic saw the driver standing still and came over to ask if he was okay. “Why are you still here when Ms. Isabella has gone to work?” Dominic looked toward the parking lot. He did not spot Ms. Isabella’s car. Even the bodyguards’ cars were gone. The driver told Dominic with a long face, “I might be unemployed soon.” “Unemployed? Are you resigning? Why resign when you’re doing fine? Is the salary too low? Or do you have other reasons? Tell me about it, and I’ll solve your problems if possible. There’s no need to resign.” The driver said, “I’m not resigning, but Austin will snatch my job. Isn’t he a chef? If he takes Ms. Isabella to work and picks her up every day, I won’t even have to work. Won’t I lose my job? “Ms. Isabella told Austin to fetch her from work later, too.” Dominic said, “You’re overthinking. Ms. Isabella doesn’t intend to change her driver. If she were, she’d inform me beforehand. I’d have recruited a new driver before telling you to leave. “Since she hasn’t said anything yet, you can be at ease. You’ve been Ms. Isabella’s driver for years and are good at your job. She recognizes your abilities and won’t fire you out of the blue.” Dominic reassured the driver and whispered, “Ms. Isabella wanted Austin to take her to work because love is in the air.” The driver widened his eyes. Dominic smiled and said, “Didn’t you figure anything out having been by Ms. Isabella’s side every day?” “I thought Ms. Isabella treated Austin differently but dared not make any guesses.” The driver also lowered his voice and asked Dominic, “Will Mr. and Mrs. O’Connor approve of Ms. Isabella and Austin dating each other?” Dominic replied, “What’s there to object? Austin is a young master of the Wiltspoon Yorks. The family is wealthy and of similar social status as the O’Connors. “She’ll make decisions regarding her own marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Connor won’t be able to interfere.” The driver thought about it and nodded in agreement. “Therefore, you don’t have to worry about losing your job. Ms. Isabella and Austin are infatuated with each other now. That’s why she wanted him to drive her to work.” The gloominess on the driver’s face disappeared. He smiled. “I’m not worried now. I won’t leave unless Ms. Isabella asks me to. I want to work here till I retire.”
