Then, Delphine asked if he had come to improve his cooking skills or solely to pursue Isabella. He said he had come to Satbury for Isabella because she was his fiancée. It just so happened that the O’Connors were hiring a private chef when he decided to woo her, so he ended up getting the job—that was it. Isabella was a picky eater. Austin wanted to get to know her preferences and work hard to make food she liked. That was because he would have to look after her for the rest of his life.
