Chapter 4284
Phillip nodded in approval.
He was still a preschooler and did not feel any pressure to perform academically.
Louis was in first grade and was not stressed about his studies. If they had to point out something stressful, it would be the high expectations their family had of them. They had to learn many other skills.
After Delphine went upstairs, Phillip went inside the kitchen again.
The bunny-shaped buns were ready. Austin put two on a plate and gave them to Phillip. He said, “I’ll let you have a taste first. These are the bunny buns you wanted.”
“It’s hot because it just came straight out of the oven.”
Phillip accepted the plate happily. “Thank you, Austin.”
He brought the plate to the dining area.
The bunny buns were shaped well. Phillip did not eat them immediately. He sat before the table and observed the buns before eating them bit by bit.
Since the buns were made too intricately, they were not enough to fill his stomach.
Soon, Louis came down.
At that moment, Isabella also returned from her run.
“Good morning, Isa.”
The boys greeted her with a smile upon seeing her entering the house.
Isabella smiled and said to Louis, “Not bad. You woke up on your own without needing me to call you.”
Louis blushed at her compliment.
“I was the one who woke him up.”
Phillip quickly sought recognition.
He also received praise from Isabella.
The boys were satisfied.
Austin brought two servings of breakfast out. He exchanged gazes with Isabella, his eyes overflowing with affection.
“Breakfast is ready, Ms. Isabella.”
However, Austin and Isabella restrained themselves as the two children were around.
Isabella nodded and told her brothers to start without her. She went upstairs to wash up and change.
Austin watched as she walked up the stairs.
Earlier, Delphine had asked if his feelings for Isabella were serious, along with many other questions.
Austin had answered them seriously.
He was sincere about loving Isabella.
Then, Delphine asked if he had come to improve his cooking skills or solely to pursue Isabella.
He said he had come to Satbury for Isabella because she was his fiancée. It just so happened that the O’Connors were hiring a private chef when he decided to woo her, so he ended up getting the job—that was it.
Isabella was a picky eater. Austin wanted to get to know her preferences and work hard to make food she liked.
That was because he would have to look after her for the rest of his life.
Luckily, he was able to fulfill his responsibilities as her private chef well.
Delphine’s next question was about Austin’s plans after marriage if he and Isabella were to get married.
His response was exactly the same as what Isabella had said last night.
With that, Delphine had no more words.
She also knew that even if she had a lot to say and could not accept Isabella and Austin dating, it was useless. She could not make decisions on behalf of her daughter.
Isabella had fallen in love with a man for the first time.
As her mother, Delphine decided to support her.
With Austin around, she would not need to worry about Isabella anymore. He would take good care of her.
After coming round to the idea, Delphine immediately felt relieved. She was no longer as depressed and stressed as she was last night.
