Chapter 3800
The adults were just bullying him for being young.
Sonny was determined to eat more and grow up fast. Once he became an adult, he would be able to understand Uncle Zak’s words.
“Didn’t you fly here in your plane, Uncle Zak?” Sonny asked.
Zachary put him in the car and helped Serenity get inside as well.
Serenity smiled. “Do you think flying a private plane is that easy? You have to file a flight plan first.”
Besides, picking her and Sonny up was not an urgent matter. There was no need to use a private plane.
“Are we going back by car?”
“Your Uncle Ben arranged a car to drive us to the airport. Taking an airplane will be faster. We’ll arrive in about an hour.”
Serenity was heavily pregnant. Long car rides would make her uncomfortable.
Therefore, Zachary bought plane tickets.
Heading to the airport from FC Manor would take less than an hour. Therefore, it was a quicker way to get back to Wiltspoon.
Sonny asked happily, “That’s awesome. I like traveling in airplanes. Can I fly a plane when I grow up, Aunt Ser?”
“Of course. Do you want to be a pilot?”
Sonny was still unsure. He simply thought being able to pilot a plane and fly in the skies was fun.
He nodded vigorously.
Zachary lifted Sonny and placed him on his lap. That way, he could stay close to Serenity.
“You should study hard first. Only then will you have a chance of becoming a pilot.”
Sonny replied, “I’ve been studying hard. I even copied medical textbooks with Laurence when I was at Aunt Jane’s house.
“Laurence has it hard, Uncle Zak,” said Sonny out of the blue.
“His hard work will definitely pay off.”
Sonny did not really understand what Zachary meant.
He continued chattering the entire trip and ended up falling asleep as soon as he got on the airplane.
Zachary held Sonny in his arms.
“Are you tired, honey? Do you want to take a nap?”
Serenity replied, “I’m not tired. Sonny just woke up too early today.
“Aunt Audrey and the rest will be returning today as well.”
Zachary nodded.
They would only discuss taking over the Fisher family next year.
It was too rushed to do it before the year ended, and Liberty and Duncan had to get their marriage license.
The couple never had the chance to go on a proper date.
Although they had known each other for a long time, they did not go on many dates and had been communicating through texts and calls all along.
The hour-long flight felt extremely short. It felt as if the airplane had landed at Wiltspoon Airport in no time.
Zachary had called Grandma May before boarding the plane. She had already arranged for a few cars to be on standby at the airport.
Rowan was there too.
His winter vacation started late because he had extra classes.
“Serenity.”
Rowan smiled brightly and greeted Serenity first when he saw them.
“I didn’t expect to see you here, Rowan.”
Serenity beamed when she saw him. They had been close since their first encounter.
Zachary said Rowan was observant and knew how to pick his targets.
Rowan had gotten close to Serenity the day he first met her. The only way he could take a breather from all the drills his brothers gave him was to ask for her help.
Otherwise, he would probably have a miserable life completing the drills his eight brothers and cousins assigned him to complete in preparation for his college entrance exam.
