Chapter 3788
Austin asked Isabella gently.
She hummed mildly before saying, “It’s slightly better than the first time you made them, but there’s still room for improvement.”
“Thank you, Ms. Isabella.”
She did not mention the problem and instead said there was still room for improvement. It was clear she did not want him to get too proud of himself. In reality, she was quite satisfied with the pastries he made today.
Isabella turned to the little ones. “Louis, Phillip, go back with Austin. Don’t wait for me for dinner tonight. Just ask Austin to make you whatever you want to eat.”
The little boys did not really want to go home, but in front of their serious big sister, they did not dare to insist on staying and obediently followed Austin out of the office. As soon as they left the office, the boys pulled their scarves tightly over their faces, hiding themselves completely, leaving only their big, bright eyes visible.
The secretary had already guessed their identities. Although she could not see their faces, their large eyes reminded her of Ms. Isabelle and Ms. Tati, and thought the siblings must look quite alike.
Once outside the office building and back in Austin’s car, the two boys finally took off their scarves.
“Austin, I’m not happy.” As soon as Louis sat down, he spoke up, clearly upset. Austin’s future brother-in-law was still a little brat and had to be pampered and coaxed.
Austin gently asked him, “Why are you unhappy, Mr. Louis? You got to see your big sister, didn’t you? Why the long face? Is it because Ms. Isabella scolded you a little?”
He gently stroked Louis’s cheek. “She’s just worried about your safety. Actually, when I was a kid, I couldn’t just go out and play like others either.”
Louis pouted, “I wanted to play in Isa’s office, but she told us to go back with you. I waited so long to come out, but it felt like I just went for a drive without doing anything.”
Phillip nodded in agreement. He also felt like they had just gone for a ride without doing anything fun.
“Austin, I want to go shopping. Can you take us shopping?” Louis made his request. It was rare for them to go out, so they wanted to at least do something fun, or it would feel like a wasted trip.
Austin thought for a moment and then said, “I’ll ask Ms. Isabella. If she agrees, I’ll take you shopping.”
After all, the general public would not recognize them. He could park the car somewhere, and take them shopping. No one would expect that the two children were the O’Connor family’s beloved, precious babies.
“She’s definitely not going to agree, Austin. Can’t you just take us secretly?”
Phillip also begged, “We won’t tell the adults. Austin, won’t you please take us secretly?”
Austin smiled, “That won’t work. I can’t bear the responsibility of that, but I’ll try my best to convince your sister to let me take you shopping.”
With that, he called Isabella, who quickly answered the phone.
“What’s up?”
“Ms. Isabella, Mr. Louis wants to go shopping. Is that alright? I’ll find a place to park and walk with them along a pedestrian street. It’ll be crowded, so no one will recognize them.”
The O’Connor family protected their little angels so well that even slightly more distant relatives rarely saw them, let alone outsiders.
