Chapter 1654 This Is My Brother

Benjamin immediately turned off the stove. The soup had boiled dry. Benjamin furrowed his brows. "I'll make you a new one." However, Margot muttered, "No, I want this one." She took a bowl and poured the noodles into it before sitting at the dining table. Although it didn't look great, the taste was still acceptable. Benjamin watched her eat with a serious expression, and his heart raced. A strange feeling filled his chest, and he wished he could hold her close and become one with her. Margot didn't notice his change in mood. After finishing the bowl of noodles, she wiped her mouth contentedly and looked up at him. It was then she saw his complicated expression. "What's wrong?" Benjamin looked at her seriously. "Why are you just coming of age?" Margot paused before she burst into laughter at his words. What kind of question was that? Did he think she came of age too late? Could she tell him that although she had just officially come of age, she was actually a 28-year-old inside? Margot gave him a weird smile. "Isn't it just the right time? What were you thinking?" Benjamin suddenly stood up. "Let's go. I'll take you home." Margot was surprised, "What? Am I not staying here tonight?" Benjamin responded, "You wouldn't be safe staying here." Margot gave him a blank look. Wouldn't be safe? Was he implying he was the danger? She walked out and slumped on the couch. "I'm not leaving. You were the one who said I should stay here so that you can safeguard me. "Now that the Inkling family knows about my existence, danger could strike at any moment if I go back to my apartment." Benjamin furrowed his brows at this. Indeed, Lance had redirected his attention toward her. If she left his side, she would definitely be targeted by Lance. But he wasn't sure if he could control himself if he let her stay here. She was still so young. It was still too early. Benjamin could only feel a headache coming on. Margot took the remote control and turned on the TV. "Which is why you don't need to take me back. I'll stop renting tomorrow. From today onward, we'll start living together." Benjamin remained silent. Why did he suddenly feel a sense of anticipation? He gave her a helpless look. "Alright, but you'd better behave." Margot glanced at him. "Have I ever misbehaved?" She was a good citizen! Benjamin didn't say anything more. "It's getting late. I'm going to sleep." "Okay." Margot's gaze landed on the TV, and she began watching a program. Benjamin stared at her for a moment before returning to the bedroom. He thought he could calm himself there, but he found that the entire room was filled with her scent. It wasn't overpowering, but it seemed to be everywhere. It was torturous. … The next day, Margot ended her tenancy and moved her things to Windsong Mansion. Benjamin had already gone to school. She was busy until noon. She took out her phone and dialed Tamara's number. "Hey, Margot." Tamara's voice sounded weak. Margot was puzzled. "What's wrong? You sound like you're completely drained of energy." Tamara fell silent for a couple of moments. "I had another dream." Margot perked up. "What did you dream about this time?" "Let's talk in person. I feel like having pizza," Tamara mumbled. Margot nodded. "Alright." An hour later, Margot watched as a young man and woman approached her. Her expression stiffened. "Margot, this is my brother, Joseph." Tamara smiled as she introduced them.
