Chapter 1653 Quite the Charmer

The bathroom door had closed in front of her. Margot chuckled wryly and left the bedroom with the phone. She sat on the couch, thinking about what Dylan had said. She had a feeling it might be as she had suspected. But even if it was, what could she do about it? They were still too weak. They couldn't possibly contend with Nammu Bay's power. Besides, her initial plan was not to confront them but to join them. It would be much more satisfying to undermine them from within. She took out her phone and looked at the number on it. She had saved this number a long time ago, but she had never dialed it. She didn't know if anyone would answer her if she called now, let alone if they would believe her. And now wasn't the right time yet. Soon, Benjamin came out of the bedroom. Seeing Margot sitting absentmindedly on the couch, he hugged her waist. "What's wrong?" Margot glanced at him and asked, "Have you eaten?" Benjamin answered, "I had some food. Are you hungry? What would you like to eat?" Margot pondered for a moment. "Noodles." Benjamin fell silent. She decided to eat noodles after putting this much thought into it. He found her somewhat lame. Benjamin pinched her cheeks and mumbled, "Let's go out to eat." However, Margot shook her head. "I don't want to. I just want some noodles, and I want you to cook them for me." Her voice softened, and she gave him an alluring smile. She looked like a fox waiting for him to take the bait. And he did take the bait. He couldn't resist her. Passion danced in his eyes. He had reservations but decided not to think too much about it. He simply got up and went to the kitchen. Margot smiled, looking even more languid. In the kitchen, the aroma of noodles began to waft through the air. Benjamin hadn't eaten this for a long time, and he was starting to crave it. Benjamin watched the noodles come to a boil in the pot. Suddenly, he felt a tug at his waist and found a slender arm wrapped around his waist. "What's wrong?" Benjamin placed his hand over hers, his tone carrying a hint of amusement. Margot's face was pressed against his back as she gently nuzzled against him. "Actually, I know where you went." As soon as the words escaped her lips, Benjamin stiffened for a moment. He turned around and gave her a serious look. "Margot, I didn't mean to hide it from you. I just didn't want to worry you. There's nothing between me and that woman." Margot couldn't help but laugh. "Why are you so nervous? Do you know who brought me there?" "Grandpa," Benjamin blurted out. Margot nodded. "Your grandfather is blunt. He doesn't want us to be together, so he made me watch as you talked with another woman, hoping I would realize that I'm not good enough for you." "Don't listen to his nonsense." Benjamin frowned. Margot raised her chin. "I'm incredibly beautiful. How can I not be good enough for you? It's just that your grandfather is narrow-minded. I'm someone with great potential." Benjamin burst into laughter and swept his gaze over her body. "Hmm. Do you still have room for development?" Margot's smile froze. "What did you say?" Benjamin immediately begged for mercy. "Sorry! You still have great potential." He emphasized the last word. Margot's face turned red unexpectedly. She hadn't expected Benjamin to be so charming! Margot suddenly smelled a burnt odor and exclaimed, "My noodles!"
