Chapter 1639 Can't Bartend
Sebastian soon got back to his senses.
What was he thinking?
Why should he confront her about this?
They were just strangers. If he did go up to her now, with how shy she was, she would surely be frightened by him.
After some thinking, Sebastian had a feeling Tamara wasn't as shy as she let on. Yet she had always been shy around him.
Sebastian's annoyance grew. He turned and left with a dark look on his face.
…
Tamara and Margot got into the car.
As the driver started for the construction site, they quietly discussed the dreams that Tamara had been having.
Tamara grew curious about the future.
Margot asked, "Are you sure you want to know? Will knowing the truth change anything?"
Tamara smiled. "I'm just curious. It's been bothering me a lot. I don't like the feeling."
Margot smiled. "What are you curious about? Just so you know, there are many things I don't know either. I only have a general idea of what went down."
Tamara pondered for a moment. "What happened to Quentin?"
Margot was taken aback. "You sure know how to pick the tough questions. You've hit a blind spot."
Tamara sighed and began to contemplate which question to ask.
After a while, Tamara still couldn't decide what to ask. She knew almost nothing about her past life except for the two dreams she had experienced.
Given the way things were unfolding, it seemed likely that she would continue to have those dreams.
"Whatever. I'll dream about them later anyway." Tamara waved her hand dismissively.
Margot chuckled. "I understand you. You just want to be spoiled with spoilers."
Margot agreed. "Exactly, it's like getting spoiled with spoilers. Sigh ..."
"Don't overthink it. You should focus on your bartending skills. Can you make drinks now?" Margot asked her.
Tamara shook her head. "No, I don't know how."
"You don't know how?" Margot widened her eyes. "When did you learn it in your previous life? Who taught you?"
Tamara shook her head again. "I don't know."
Margot felt her world shattered. "You're my star bartender. If you can't make the drinks, my club won't even last a few days!"
Tamara piped up, "Don't worry, I'll figure it out. I learned how to make scented tea leaves from my mother. Maybe she knows how to bartend, too."
Margot nodded. "Alright. Ask her when you get back home."
"Okay." Tamara nodded.
They both felt uneasy because they had no idea when Tamara had learned to bartend.
They arrived at the construction site and saw the outline of the club slowly taking shape. Tamara couldn't help but comment, "It looks like it's going to be a massive place."
Margot nodded. "Yes, it's quite big."
Tamara looked at her. "Can I invest in this?"
Margot smiled. "Sure. How much money are you planning to invest?"
Tamara fell silent. "I don't have any money right now."
Margot immediately said, "You can't invest if you don't have any money. Let's talk about it when you have money!"
Tamara nodded. "Okay."
She was getting better at making scented tea leaves. She could try to sell them.
After inspecting the construction site, Margot instructed the driver to head to the Simmons' residence. The most important thing now was for Tamara to learn some bartending skills.
The club would be ready in half a year. Margot hoped Tamara could learn how to bartend by then.
She had made a mistake in her planning.
Upon arriving at the Simmons' residence, Tamara got out of the car. "Goodbye. Please stay safe."
"Go on, don't worry about me." Margot waved her hand.
Tamara nodded and went inside.
Margot turned to the driver and said, "The school."
The driver nodded and drove off.
