Chapter 96
Even though deep down Gloria knew it was Kelly's doing, she couldn't admit it.
Otherwise, the Grayson family's reputation would end up in the gutter just the same.
However, Atlas didn't bother whether Gloria admitted it or not.
"The person I want to punish is not your concern either." With that, Atlas flicked a silver needle.
It flew with lightning speed, piercing Kelly's pulse, then vanished without a trace.
Kelly felt something was off but couldn't put her finger on it.
Atlas turned to leave the Grayson residence. "Remember, Tabitha asked me not to make things difficult for the Graysons this time. You might not be so lucky next time!"
After Atlas left, Kelly stood up and said, "Grandma, that bastard completely disregards you!"
As soon as Kelly finished her sentence, Gloria slapped her. "You foolish girl!"
Gloria turned and left. She was heading to her room to rest.
The courtyard was left with only Kelly, who clenched her fists in frustration.
At that time, her skin began to itch uncontrollably. "Damn it. What's happening? It's so itchy. I wanna scratch it so badly! I can't stop!"
Kelly scratched for five hours straight until her eyes were red. Her skin was raw and bleeding from her relentless scratching.
Looking at the blood under her nails, she growled through her greeted teeth, "Tabitha, Atlas! I'll never forgive you!"
…
Later that evening, after soaking in a medicated bath, Kelly's itch subsided. However, her skin was too damaged for her to meet anyone.
Suddenly, Sierra called.
Kelly quickly answered the phone.
Sierra's voice was as sharp as a knife. "Kelly, what happened to the task I gave you? Why haven't I heard from you all day?"
Kelly rushed to explain. "Ms. Hammond, it didn't work out!"
"What?" Sierra asked. Failure was never an option for Sierra.
Kelly cried out desperately. "Ms. Hammond, I had no idea that loser had medical knowledge! Please, Ms. Hammond, give me another chance. I want revenge!"
What Kelly said had piqued Sierra's interest. Did Atlas possess medical knowledge? How was that possible?
Five years ago, because of his incompetence, he had given her the priceless remedy, the very formula that built the invincible Century Group. It made them the leaders in traditional medicine.
Could he have been studying medicine all this time in Northern Bronshire?
However, what Sierra didn't know was that Atlas had always been skilled in medicine.
The Blackwell family had practiced medicine for generations, wandering Chernea, trying out all kinds of herbs, and helping people without expecting anything in return.
Every member of the Blackwell family was an unparalleled doctor.
Atlas was destined from birth to stand at the pinnacle of the Blackwell family's medical prowess.
Years ago, after the Blackwell family was tragically wiped out, Atlas concealed his abilities in order to survive.
During his time with Sierra, she had always believed that Atlas got dizzy at the mere sight of a medical book, rendering any formula worthless in his hands.
Sierra's curiosity was piqued as she said with a smile, "How interesting. If Atlas really knows medicine, I'd love to play a little game with him."
"What do you have in mind, Ms. Hammond?" Kelly asked, bewildered.
Sierra's lips curled into a sly grin. "A battle! So what if it's Dr. Leichter? I don't need to show him any respect. In today's medical world, only the Century Group matters!
"They want to earn Newtropolis' trust by curing Dr. Leichter? That's impossible. I'll show everybody how powerful our formula truly is!"
