Chapter 95
Kelly was visibly shaken by Atlas' presence. She swallowed hard and tried to regain her composure.
Finally, she pulled herself together and turned to Gloria while bursting into tears. "Grandma, look at this loser! We're in the Grayson residence and you're still alive! Yet he acts like you don't exist at all."
Gloria glared angrily at Atlas and interrogated, "What's going on?"
Atlas ignored her and looked at his watch.
Nine, eight, seven… one.
"Time's up. Ian, bring him in."
At Atlas' command, Ian entered with a man behind him. It was Alfred.
Alfred was tossed to the floor and immediately fell to his knees.
"He confessed. Are you going to?" Atlas yelled again.
Kelly's eyes filled with panic. "Atlas, what are you talking about? Alfred, what did you confess to?"
Alfred knelt and kept his head low. He didn't want to confess, but Ian's visit made it impossible.
Hundreds of people from Grandview Hall stood outside his door. The sheer number of them was enough to make the ground tremble if they were to stomp.
Even so, Alfred was determined to remain silent for the sake of his son's education expenses and property.
However, Ian had shown his credentials. Most credentials either stated a person's rank or the department they served.
Ian's credentials only had three words. Grim Reaper, Ian.
Upon seeing this, Ian couldn't help but tremble. He might not know much about Northern Bronshire, but the title "Grim Reaper" made it hard to ignore.
He confessed everything. "It was Kelly who instructed me. I'm sorry. I betrayed the Graysons' trust. I let my greed get the better of me. In return, I almost harmed Ms. Grayson!
"It's all my fault. When Tabitha reopened Herbal Emporium, I was already old and frail. Yet she saw value in me and gave me a raise. I'm a disgrace. I'm truly ashamed of myself!" Alfred said as he slapped himself.
Gloria was furious upon hearing what Alfred said. Her face turned red. She turned to glare at Kelly.
Kelly was petrified but she knew that she couldn't back down now.
Tearfully, she pleaded, "Grandma, there must be some mistake! I only told Alfred about a cheaper batch of herbs and asked him to give it a try.
"Grandma, you know I don't know much about herbs. I don't even know the difference between venomthorn and vigorroot. Atlas and Alfred must be conspiring to deceive you!" Kelly said.
Gloria stood there while breathing heavily. "Shut up! Haven't you caused enough trouble?"
Kelly fell to her knees and kept her head low. However, she wouldn't stop defending herself. "Grandma, this is the Grayson's residence. You can't let Atlas have his way!"
Gloria took a deep breath and walked toward Atlas.
Her eyes were filled with disdain. She recalled the incident at Moonview Pavilion, where Atlas made the entire Grayson family kneel.
"I believe this isn't something Tabitha would do. But I also believe Kelly is innocent. This is a family matter, and it's not your place to interfere."
Gloria remained clear-headed.
