Chapter 510
Jason held a significant number of shares, and whichever side he chose would have a decisive impact.
Jordan was still worried. He pulled over Marshall, who was following him, and rudely patted Marshall's head.
"Do you see this? Mr. Foster Senior here is on my side and listens to me. Jason, you'd better not pick the wrong team, or I'll kick Margot out anytime I want."
Jason chuckled and said, "When have I ever picked the wrong side? Besides money, my greatest skill is judging people accurately."
Throughout the process, the 88-year-old Marshall remained silent as if he were just a bystander. No one knew what he was thinking.
Jason was secretly shocked. After all, Marshall had once cured his father's illness.
"How could one of the Big Four become like this? Healers are so dangerous as they control human health and life. If they're unscrupulous, their schemes would be terrifyingly insidious," he thought.
Marshall didn't believe that the Sykes family, who had imprisoned him for ten years and caused his son's death, would willingly free him from the Blood Bat venom. Nor did he believe that Cyrus would challenge the powerful Sykes family just to avenge him and his son.
He felt that the Sykes family was simply too formidable. Cyrus was likely just spinning lies to win over his daughter-in-law, Margot.
Perhaps the only way out was to drag Evelyn off the 58th floor of Jordan Pharmaceuticals with him.
Feeling bolstered by Jason's support, Jordan confidently returned to his office. Cyrus was sitting on the couch and casually playing a game there.
His calm expression infuriated Jordan, but after seeing how effortlessly Cyrus had destroyed the Lynch family, Jordan didn't dare show his anger.
"Mr. Johnson, what brings you to my humble office uninvited?" Jordan said with a forced smile.
Cyrus replied without raising his head, "The interior is quite luxurious. What's humble about it? I'm just here because Margot and Nicole came over for the meeting, and I followed to have some fun."
"You came to my office just to play a game?" Jordan asked.
"Yeah, and to ponder who the winner of Jorsproburgh is," Cyrus said while glancing casually at Jordan without a hint of pressure.
Cyrus was at ease, but Jordan felt immense pressure. He was a man in his 50s, but he feared Cyrus. Even so, it was too soon to say who the true winner of Jorsproburgh was.
"Are you worried we'll bully Margot?"
Cyrus shook his head. "Not you guys. I'm only worried that you'll bully her."
"What exactly do you want, Mr. Johnson?" Jordan asked.
Cyrus stood up and said, "Competing in business and stealing formulas isn't the issue. Your mistake was colluding with the Sykes family and engaging in poison."
Jordan, who had been leaning against his desk, nearly collapsed at Cyrus' words. How did Cyrus know? Did Marshall betray him?
"Mr. Johnson, don't make baseless accusations," Jordan stammered.
Cyrus sneered, "You know what you've done. I'm just warning you that those who engage in poison deserve to be eradicated."
…
In the meeting room of Jordan Pharmaceuticals, Margot, Marshall, Nicole, Benjamin, Spencer, and Jason were all seated at the conference table, along with a few members of the Sykes family. Evelyn's presence was intimidating enough that neither Benjamin nor Neil dared to lift their heads.
"Professor Hawk, do you recognize me?" Evelyn asked.
"Yes, of course, Mrs. Sykes. Your reputation precedes you in the medical industry."
"I'm getting old. If it weren't for this visit, I wouldn't have known that the leader of the four major families in Jorsproburgh had changed."
Just then, Cyrus entered with one hand holding his phone. He dragged a chair with the other hand.
Instead of joining the table, he positioned himself by the door and remarked, "Well, Mrs. Sykes, you should visit Jorsproburgh more often."
Evelyn quickly turned her gaze to Cyrus, whom she had only heard about.
However, her sharp and penetrating look did nothing to faze Cyrus, who remained completely unbothered. He continued to play his game.
"Young man, you have quite an arrogant attitude. Tell me your name," she demanded.
