OLIVIA’S POV
The ceiling looked unfamiliar.
Sterile white panels. Smooth fluorescent lighting. A faint beeping sound echoed in the distance—subtle, rhythmic.
This wasn’t the room I remembered.
I pushed myself up slowly, my body still heavy from fatigue, and looked around. The walls were cleaner, the machines newer, and the bed softer—too soft. A faint herbal scent lingered in the air, unlike the sharp disinfectant sting I’d gotten used to.
I wasn’t in the same hospital.
The realization crawled down my spine.
When did they move me here? And how long was I unconscious?
Two nurses stood nearby, whispering to one another, but the moment they saw me awake, they stiffened. One of them—a shorter brunette with trembling hands—offered a tight-lipped smile. The other just looked away, pretending to adjust a chart.
“Where am I?” I asked, voice dry.
The brunette hesitated before answering, “You’re in the new hospital, miss. Still in our pack territory, just… relocated.”
