Chapter 1464

"I've arrived in Monafett." After a few seconds passed without a response, he sent another message, [This business trip will probably last about half a month. I'll bring you a gift when I return.] Ines still had not replied, and Solomon figured Richworth was during daylight hours, so she must be busy. He decided not to send any more messages. Richworth. Ines' phone buzzed twice during the meeting, but she ignored it. It was not until after the meeting that she checked her messages. As she glanced over them, she lowered her gaze, a slight smile playing at the corners of her mouth. It was rare indeed that he would initiate contact with her. The last time he had messaged her first was when they had just gotten together. Ines closed the conversation window without replying. That was just the kind of person she was. Once she decided to break up, she would not drag things out. When it was over, it was over for good. Royal View Villa. Blair had his leg rehabilitation session in the morning, and Mable had been by his side the whole time. At noon, Wilbur came over to check on him and mentioned his plan to leave Richworth. "I've compiled the follow-up rehabilitation treatment plan. Just follow it as instructed. You're also a doctor, so you should know what to do. Whether or not I'm around doesn't matter anymore. Of course, if you need anything, you can still call me," Wilbur said to Mable. Blair's injuries had mostly healed by now, and all that was left was to rehab his leg. As long as he followed the treatment plan diligently, recovery was a matter of time. Mable was grateful for Wilbur's help to Blair during this time. "Thank you for everything you've done," she said sincerely. Wilbur smiled faintly. "Don't mention it. After all, I've been paid." Blair looked at Wilbur and asked, "Where are you planning to go, Mr. Hammond?" Wilbur lifted his tea and took a sip before casually replying, "Back to my hometown. I've been away for too long this time." Mable had never heard Wilbur mention his hometown, so she was curious. "Where's your hometown, Wilbur?" Wilbur was silent for a moment before answering, "Cloud Town." Mable had never heard of this place and did not know where it was. Blair chimed in. "Near the border of Croquen? That's quite far from Richworth." Wilbur nodded, his expression darkening slightly as if he remembered something unpleasant. "Mable, could I ask you for a favor?" he suddenly said to Mable. Mable nodded. "Of course, if it's something I can do, I'll do my best." "Is Yohan your master? If you visit him next time, please bring a flower for him on my behalf. I wanted to visit him but did not know where he was buried. Rory didn’t tell me when I asked him." Previously, he wanted to visit his burial site but did not intend to anymore. Lately, he kept dreaming of the scenes when he used to practice martial arts with Yohan. Back then, the two brothers had a great bond. People should have worse memories as they age, but he remembered past events vividly. He had resented Yohan for over twenty years but suddenly found it meaningless. The man was dead; there was no point in holding onto that hatred. He did not have such a strange pet peeve. Recently, Wilbur seemed to have had an epiphany. With half of him buried in the earth, his hatred did not seem as intense as before. Mable listened to Wilbur's words, looking at him with surprise. "You and my master?" Wilbur explained calmly, "We are brothers. In terms of seniority, you should call me Master." Mable was astonished when she suddenly remembered their names. One was Yohan Hammond and the other was Wilbur Hammond. They were obviously brothers by their names, but she had never thought about it before.
