Chapter 3012

During the quarter or so of an hour that Severin was not there, Larry, Mick, and their comrades swiftly scoured Skyblue Sect to rescue disciples and administer pills to the gravely wounded. Meanwhile, on another front, Diane and Gilda had returned with Rachel and Gilda's son Hardin. When Severin appeared before them out of thin air, Diane was the first to notice Eliza's lifeless form. A vaguely strong aura emanated from the corpse, and its pallid skin was suffused with the law of death. The surrounding space seemed to distort under its residual power, as if on the verge of rupture. A mere glance at the corpse sent shivers down everyone's spine, making them feel as though there was some kind of inexplicable urge to submit to the corpse. They all knew that the corpse once belonged to a formidable individual that was feared even by heaven and earth. Diane and Gilda, in particular, paled at the sight, as the corpse's aura—bolstered no doubt by the essence of death and destruction—was even stronger than Adrian and other half-immortals in the Grandiuno Sacred Land. Both women instinctively recognized the corpse as that of a true immortal. Concern etched across Diane's face as she asked, "Are you all right, Severin?" "I'm fine," Severin reassured her. The leaders of the former twelve halls had completed their rescue efforts and came up to Severin. They knelt before him and bombarded him with questions. "Is Gracie safe?" "Who did you defeat?" "Is he a supreme paragon?" Larry and the others felt a chill run down their spine when they laid eyes on Eliza's corpse. Their souls quivering with dread despite their prowess as supreme saints. Their encounters with the black-robed practitioners from the Devil Realm had left them acquainted with realms beyond their own. Severin's recent display of prowess against the invaders had left them wondering if their boss had become a supreme paragon within just two years. Unperturbed by their incredulity, Severin calmly replied, "He was a true immortal." The calmness in Severin's voice only amplified the shock that everyone felt. Larry and the others were dumbfounded as a result. "A true immortal!" "Does that mean you're an immortal now?" During the invasion of Skyblue Sect, the black-robed practitioners gave them a glimpse into the sort of attainment levels that existed beyond supreme saint. From their perspective, royal paragons were the epitome of a powerhouse, while supreme paragons were the stuff of legends. In their view, they speculated that Severin might ascend to the supreme paragon status within two or three years of entering Bleurealm. One could imagine how shocked they were that Severin had achieved immortality, on top of killing a true immortal! The revelation dropped on them like a bombshell, igniting a chorus of chatter among the disciples of Skyblue Sect. Diane and Gilda shared a knowing glance and suppressed their laughter behind covered mouths as they witnessed the stunned expressions of Larry and his comrades. Unfazed by their exclamations of surprise, Severin directed his attention to the child standing beside Rachel and Gilda. The toddler, whose eyes twinkled like stars, seemed to spark a sense of familial connection within him. Severin recognized the baby as his son, Hardin.
