“Lil Lion, I really want to have a bite of you.” Cedar’s body went stiff when he blurted that out. His eyes turned reddish as he continued to mutter to himself, “I want to be your Big Brother, but I don’t deserve it. I’m attracted to you.” Isabelle already got off the steps. She turned back and saw Cedar standing where he was. His lips moved a little as if he was mumbling something. She smiled brightly and shouted for Cedar, “Big Brother, let’s go! I don’t want to go home and disturb Mom and Dad. I’ll go home tomorrow once Brother Ralph is home!” Isabelle did not like to stay at home much because her parents were always too lovey-dovey in front of her. Her mother loved displaying her affection toward her father, and he would never turn her away. Gradually, Isabelle finally realized that she was disturbing her parents. Ever since she discovered it, she stopped fighting with her father for his dearest wife unless absolutely necessary or during stormy days. Zachary felt like Isabelle finally grew up and learned to act knowingly. Zachary felt comforted about her growth. “Big Brother, I’m talking to you,” said Isabelle. Cedar returned to his senses and walked down the steps. Isabelle held his arm again and suggested, “Big Brother, if you really need a partner, I will introduce you to one of my good friends when I have some free time.” With an indifferent look, Cedar replied, “There’s no need for that.” “Alright then. Let’s go back to your condominium.” Cedar walked in the direction away from the police station. Isabelle felt like something was not right and asked him, “Where’s your car? Are we getting a taxi?” “My condominium isn’t far away. I didn’t drive.” “Does that mean you walked half an hour to the police station?” “Yeah,” Cedar replied faintly and urged, “Let’s go.” Isabelle felt helpless about Cedar’s carefree attitude. The two of them walked by the roadside. When Isabelle passed by a mart, she tugged on Cedar’s arm. Cedar glanced at her with a confused gaze. “Candy. Big Brother, I want candies.” She felt uncomfortable with an empty mouth. She missed the taste of a lollipop in her mouth. Cedar smiled upon hearing that. He said, “You’re just like a child.” Isabelle said without thinking much, “I’m still underaged.” Cedar did not say anything further. Instead, he walked into the mart and went to get two fruit-flavored candies from the confectionery aisle. When he turned around, he saw Isabelle busy choosing her snacks in the snacks area. He felt helpless and reminded her, “We’re eating later. You can’t have snacks before your meal.” He heard from Raphael about Isabelle’s bad habit, where she treated her snacks as her main meal. Isabelle said obediently, “I’ll eat my snacks after the meal.” That was not a reason to stop her from choosing her snacks. Isabelle carried plenty of snacks in her arms and put them at the cashier counter. The cashier looked at Cedar and asked, “Are you paying?” Cedar replied, “Yeah.” The cashier helped to pack the snacks in a shopping bag. Isabelle happily took her bag of snacks in her arms and walked out of the mart. Behind her, Cedar was still taking out his wallet to get his cash and settle the bill. When the cashier accepted his cash, she added, “You pamper your girlfriend so much.” Cedar smiled faintly and said, “It’s just normal.” Cedar walked out of the mart after settling the bill. When Isabelle saw him walking out, she passed her candy to Cedar and instructed, “Big Brother, could you help me open this?” Cedar remained silent as he took the candy from her and opened it for her. Isabelle stared at his action and sincerely praised, “Your hands look so beautiful.” Cedar’s finger stopped a little as he said, “You’re so bold.” “I’m praising my Big Brother and not someone else.”
