“I don’t understand. Maybe because I haven’t lived with my parents for the past eighteen years, some invisible changes have happened,” I muttered, pulling the blanket over my head. “That’s the only explanation I can think of. I can’t possibly not be my parents’ child, right? Blood relations can’t lie.”
Dorothy reached over and patted me gently through the sleeping bag. “Don’t worry too much about it. Once this is all over, we’ll look into it. The zamuda grandmasters have all sorts of specialties; surely someone will know what’s going on.”
