Michael looked at Giselle with cold indifference.
He gestured to his bodyguards. "Bring her here."
The guards seized Giselle immediately. They dragged her forward and forced her to her knees right beside Samuel.
Giselle hissed in pain. The impact of her knees slamming against the hard ground made the color drain from her face.
It was agonizing.
Samuel glared at her, his eyes filled with malice.
He lowered his voice to a warning growl. "You don't have proof, so watch your mouth."
Giselle shot him a look of utter contempt. "Scared now, are you?"

If she dared to say anything that incriminated him, he would kill her himself.
Giselle looked up, locking eyes with Michael.
Michael let out a cold laugh. "You're trying awfully hard to save him. Should I give you two an award for 'Father and Daughter of the Year'?"
"I'd appreciate that. Giselle has always been a dutiful daughter," Samuel lied smoothly, forcing a smile.
