Chapter 139 They Will Agree
Sophia nodded, unable to conceal the happiness in her eyes. "But I haven't told my parents about this yet. I'll find a chance to tell them later."
"I think you should tell them as soon as possible, let them be mentally prepared. They're not young anymore, knowing about this should make them happy. Also, don't burden yourself too much because of this. Besides, you and Carlos are a perfect match. They won't disagree."
"I understand." Sophia smiled in response.
In the morning, she went for a check-up with a furrowed brow, but now she was beaming. It seemed Carlos was quite good at comforting people.
Charlotte was genuinely happy for her friend, who had been single for many years and was finally getting married.
In the afternoon, Charlotte didn't take her home but instead took Sophia to Andy and Lilya's kindergarten.
Seeing these lively little lives, Sophia naturally looked forward to the birth of her own child.
Sophia sat not far away, watching the children playing on the playground.
She thought that soon enough, she would be watching her own child like this.
It seemed like a good feeling, and it appeared she had been overly worried about things.
Charlotte looked at the deepening smile on Sophia's face and reached out to pat her shoulder.
She gently spoke, "Isn't this amazing?"
Sophia's gaze never left the children. "It's quite amazing. Having a sweet and soft child snuggling in my arms all day, just imagining it makes me feel very happy."
Charlotte looked at Sophia and said, "As long as you've figured it out."
When the two of them left the kindergarten, Andy's eyes still held some reluctance, and Lilya called out "Mom" several times from behind.
Charlotte took a deep breath, turned around, and smiled at the children, "I'll come pick you up after school. And I'll tell you some good news later, so now be good and attend your classes properly."
Although the two of them looked a bit disappointed, they quickly returned to normal. After all, what child doesn't cling to their mother?
"Okay, we'll be good and listen to the teacher in kindergarten."
"My children are really sensible."
Based on her experience during her own pregnancy, Charlotte took Sophia to buy some supplements and even some softer clothes for her. She even arranged for radiation-proof belly bands for Sophia.
With this set, Sophia's entire pregnancy would be comfortable.
Seeing them carrying so many things, Charlotte remembered her own pregnancy. At that time, she had to do everything by herself. It would have been nice to have someone by her side to help.
Now it's good; she has time to help Sophia with these things.
After buying all the essentials, they went to the women's clothing store where Charlotte often went. Coincidentally, they ran into Loy inside, who was picking out dresses.
"If I buy now, won't it be too tight later?"
"It's okay for now. After all, your belly hasn't gotten big yet. If some time passes, it definitely won't fit anymore. You can buy what you like first; you can wear it for a few days."
Hearing that, Loy, not far away, turned her head to look, and sure enough, she saw Charlotte and Sophia standing in front of the clothes rack.
She walked over cheerfully and greeted the two, "What a coincidence, do you two often come to this store?"
"Yes, why do you have time to come today?"
Loy smiled slightly, "I've already dealt with those messes recently. It's just that scumbag hasn't completely returned the money to me yet. He asked me to give him some time. We've also finalized the divorce procedures. Everything is ready, just waiting for him to return the rest of the money."
Charlotte, worried that there were people eavesdropping nearby, deliberately lowered her voice and said, "That's really good, but we should be careful when speaking outside."
For scandals like theirs, others are always eager to hear more.
Not to mention others, even Charlotte herself, when she heard about other people's affairs, she couldn't help but want to know more...
Loy didn't care and said leisurely, "I don't care about these things anymore. I just want everyone in the world to know what kind of person Frank is."
They had put aside their past grievances and quite liked Loy's straightforward personality.
Dealing with such a person is not tiring at all. Everyone is smart, so they went straight to the point.
Frank had never been faithful to one person for so many years. He only cared about himself. Now everyone in the world knows that he is a scumbag who framed his ex-wife and cheated, and even climbed onto Loy, a wealthy woman who outclassed him by several levels, for his own career.
With these things combined, even if he wanted to maintain his reputation, it would be impossible.
Loy had put her whole heart into him before, but now without Frank, after finishing her work in the company, she didn't know what to do.
Loy had only recently discovered this brand. Her style was quite similar to hers. Moreover, this place was very close to the company, so sometimes she would come up to take a look and buy a cup of coffee.
"How about we go for a drink tonight? I also want to relax. It's been a long time since I worked. Suddenly facing such a life, I feel a bit uncomfortable."
Charlotte shook her head with a smile. "I'm afraid not, Sophia is pregnant now, so she can't drink. Let's make another appointment later!"
"When did you get pregnant?" Loy couldn't help but exclaim.
Sophia smiled calmly. "It's only been two months. I felt uncomfortable recently, so I went to the hospital for a check-up, and unexpectedly, I'm pregnant. I didn't even feel anything."
Loy felt that a woman's pregnancy was a very miraculous thing. Her restless hand touched Sophia's belly a few times before stopping.
Loy widened her eyes and looked at Sophia's belly. "It's really amazing. Is there really a little baby inside?"
Sophia nodded directly. "Yes, I guess it will take another six or seven months for him to be born. It's still early. We'll have plenty of time to go out for drinks in the future."
"Okay! But I'm really glad. Fortunately, Frank has some problems in that aspect. Otherwise, I would have to bring a child when I divorced him, which would delay my life a lot." Loy said without hesitation.
