“I do. Big Brother, you’re so handsome. Of course, everyone will like you. Besides, you seem more mature and reliable than Brother Ralph. It feels more reassuring to be with you,” Isabelle replied. Cedar gave Isabelle the feeling that he was worth relying on. Isabelle felt extremely safe with him. Isabelle went over to Cedar and hugged his arm. She smiled and said, “Big Brother, you actually knew to ask if I like you or not. You’ve improved for the past two days!” Cedar smiled upon hearing that. Isabelle never asked Cedar about what happened last night. She was not curious about it at all. She conclusively guessed that she must have been an embarrassment last night. With that, there was no need for her to ask him about it since it would only make her more embarrassed. What happened after Isabelle returned to the villa was exactly what she expected. As expected, Caroline only had Cedar in mind, and she totally forgot that Isabelle chose to not come home last night at the last minute. Isabelle greeted her parents and quickly ran back to her room. Caroline was still chatting with Cedar downstairs. Naturally, Cedar was still as quiet as ever after he grew up. He would usually answer whenever Caroline asked him something. Caroline even asked, “Cedar, do you have a girlfriend yet?” Cedar said honestly, “I’m not in a relationship.” Caroline advised him, “My dear Cedar, you’re no longer young. You should find someone warm to be with you. Once you both are close with a good relationship, you can discuss your marriage plans with me.” The more Caroline observed him, the more satisfied she was. She continued, “You will be my first child to get married. As your mother, I’ll make sure to give you a grand wedding. By then, don’t stop me from being busy with your wedding planning. After all, I’ve been waiting for that moment of yours for the whole time! Ah, Cedar, you’re so handsome.” Zachary nudged Caroline. “Mrs. Schick.” Caroline quickly said, “Okay, fine! I’ll be more reserved!” Caroline loved Cedar from the bottom of her heart. She always took pity on him because she watched most of his past. Besides, Cedar was a mature and sensible child since he was young. Whenever Cedar faced any trouble or unhappy situations, he liked to bury them in his mind. Caroline felt like Cedar had always been very lonely. Cedar lived lonelier than Zachary in the past. That was precisely why Caroline always tried to find an opportunity to get Zachary to bring her to visit him when he was away from home. Cedar took ownership of his power and forces when he was twenty. It was also when he took over Zachary's company. That was when Zachary finally retired from the scene entirely, and he no longer managed his own company. It was proven that he had a good vision. It turned out that Cedar handled everything in an orderly manner. For the next five years, Cedar rejected Caroline every time she invited him to stay in Wu City. He did not purchase many villas throughout the country. He had only bought a villa in Norway since it was where his headquarters were located. Additionally, he had a condominium unit in Espoo’s city center. Although Cedar never returned to Wu City, it was not like he was an ungrateful person. He would always visit Caroline whenever she came to stay in Finland. He would share his latest updates with her to ease her worries. When Cedar was twenty-five, he finally expanded all his powers and stood at the pinnacle of power. That was the same year when he heard from Caroline about Isabelle. Apparently, Isabelle’s class teacher misunderstood her and thought she got into an early relationship at such a young age. Cedar thought that he should go to Wu City to visit the clingy little girl who always wanted his hugs. However, he did not expect to see her with her eyes full of unfamiliarity toward him. Even so, he gradually fell for her. For the past ten years before he was twenty-five, he never once returned to Wu City. After meeting the young Isabelle again, he always returned to Wu City at least four to five times a year, not including the times he met her in the New Year’s family gathering. For the rest of the time, he would usually watch her quietly. She finally grew up, and so did Raphael. Cedar planned to hand over all of Zachary’s previously owned power back to Raphael. He was near the end of the preparation for handover. Raphael would receive his birthday present before he turned eighteen. The gift Cedar prepared for Raphael was exceptionally heavy. Caroline only chatted with Cedar a little more before going to the kitchen to cook. Only Zachary and Cedar remained in the living room. After a short silence, Cedar informed Zachary, “I will hand over all of your company matters and power to Ceri by the end of the month.”
