♡ Lauren’s POV ♡ I was relieved when Simon came to my rescue and saved me from answering Bella's questions. I turned to him and confided in him. "Why the fuck did you leave us there to fuck Albert? "I asked angrily. "I don't know what the big deal is.” He shrugged. "We're never going to a party with you again.” Bella and I both shouted. He rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on! ” "Why did Magee want you, Lauren? This guy literally turned the house upside down.” "He asked, puzzled. My eyes widened in shock and panic. I was afraid to answer the question and my heart began to beat wildly. What can I say. . . Magee and I were drily bumping into each other upstairs, and might have gone further if a man hadn't bothered us. "I-i-i don't know.” I stammered, trying to sound indifferent. I probably looked like a constipated idiot because I held my breath and I'm sure I blushed. "Magee is here? "Bella asked, surprise written on her face. "Did that bastard do something to you? "Simon shouted, clasping his hands at his sides. Just then Albert came out, put on his shirt, walked over to us, and smiled. He looked at us puzzled, noting the tension between us. "No, I promise it's not like that.” I rushed out shaking my head wildly. He looked at me with raised eyebrows and rebuked me. "Whatever you say is fine, but this discussion is not over.” He pointed at me. "There's nothing to discuss! ” I exclaimed, embarrassed, as Albert and Bella looked at me. "What's the matter? "Albert asked, looking at each of us. But we ignored him because we were both interested in talking about Magee and me. "Oh, something must have happened! Bella and Simon both yelled before laughing at me. "Can we stop talking about this now and just go home? I have a headache.” I was annoyed at their happy faces. Albert nodded and told us to follow him to the car. We were all in the jeep when Albert started it. Just then, I saw Magee running out of the house and storming towards us. "Lauren! ” He yelled. "Damn it, let's go! ” I yelled into the driver's seat to let Albert know he was ready to drive. But the idiot took a long time to drive, and he watched Magee run toward us in bewilderment. "Drive, man! I shouted impatiently, jumping up and down in my seat. Albert finally noticed my impatience, so he drove very fast. I looked back at Magee and saw his sad face disappear from my sight. I turned around and saw everyone looking at me, including Albert. He was looking at me in the rearview mirror. 'What! I asked, not looking at them. "Lauren, what the hell happened between you and Magee? "Bella asked, looking impatiently at me. When I thought of Bella and Simon hating me for kissing Magee, my eyes filled with water. I should have confessed before it got any worse. "You guys will judge me and think I'm an idiot.” I looked at them with tears in my eyes and sobbed. "No, we won't. You know, we love you, Lauren! ” As they spoke, they blew kisses at me. I laughed at their childishness. "All right," I gasped. "Magee and I made out.” I blurted out the words and looked out to avoid their gaze. "Damn it! ” Screamed Bella. "I knew it, Bella, I told you they'd be together! ” "Said Simon excitedly "Bella, don't be mad. I just can't help it.” I looked at her desperately, trying to explain my actions. Bella's eyes softened and she gave me a reassuring smile. "I'm not mad at Cami, I'm far from mad. In fact I always knew you two would get together at some point. She blinked her eyes. "Guys, we're not together! We only kissed once and it will never happen again.” I blush when I think of myself with Magee. 'Yes, that's right! Bella snorted and rolled her eyes at me. "Bella, you need to pay, AND I'm right, Lauren and Magee will be together before the end of the year! ” Simon smiled proudly at Bella. "Ah, here's a hundred dollars.” Bella said angrily, then reached into her purse for the money and handed it to Simon, who looked eager to take it. "You fucking bet on me! ” I asked in disbelief. "Yes.” They answered at the same time. "I hate you," I murmured unconvincingly. "We love you too! ” The next morning. . . I was in the middle of a class, trying to pay attention to the teacher, but all I could think about was Magee's soft lips. I sighed and looked dreamily at the blackboard, thinking Magee and I were kissing. "Lauren, what's wrong with you? ""Miss Ruby asked, looking at me anxiously. "Huh? "I asked, quickly returning to reality. "You were just staring at the blackboard. Class is over.” "She said slowly, as if she were talking to a child. "Oh, er, yes, I'm fine.” I muttered to myself, clearly embarrassed to be caught daydreaming. I packed my things and rushed out, looking back. I've been avoiding Magee all day. I'm too embarrassed to tell him what happened. He may already regret it. I walked down the hallway, pushing my way past students, when a hand grabbed me out of nowhere and pulled me into an empty classroom. I looked up at the criminal staring at me. It was Magee, his face shrieking with anger and confusion. He pushed me against the wall and shut me in his arms to prevent me from escaping. What's going on with him and the empty room? "Why are you avoiding me? "He mumbled something I could hardly hear. He looked frustrated as he waited for my answer, which I barely knew. "I'm not.” I replied incredulously, avoiding his fierce gaze. Frustrated, he pulled his hand away and ran it through his hair.
