The thought made Wendy's skin crawl, though the unease faded just as quickly. As far as she knew James, he wasn't the type to stalk someone. It was way more likely he'd had someone dig up her new address.
Either way, knowing that he now knew where she lived didn't sit right with her.
"I'll help clean this up," Liam said out of nowhere, making Wendy jump. She knocked over the bottle of medicine next to her.
She gasped, then sighed in relief when she saw the cap was still on tight.
Liam crouched down beside her and helped her repack the first-aid kit.
Wendy pressed her lips together, feeling a little embarrassed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to…"
She trailed off mid-sentence, noticing a dark bruise near his temple.
Wendy frowned. "You should probably get a scan. James hits hard."
