Chapter 235: Immediate Results

After issuing some final instructions, Henry left Felix's office, with the others dispersing as well. The plan to hire experts to take on Axel involved Maxen and Jarvis too. After all, a billion was at stake, and Axel wasn't just Felix's enemy. So, this billion was sort of a joint venture by the group. Henry had just stepped out of the Marriott International Hotel building when he saw Zane pulling up in the car. Henry had messaged Zane earlier to pick him up, so Zane had dropped everything to come. "Let's go to the suburban villa," Henry said as he got into the car. "Got it, Henry," Zane nodded and drove towards the suburban villa. "Henry, I plan to go to Lumin Sky Group first thing tomorrow and prepare a 100-square-meter house for each of them. Does that sound good to you?" Zane spoke while driving. "Yeah, let's go with that for now," Henry nodded. About half an hour later, the two arrived at the suburban villa. Previously, it had been only Frederick there, but now the place was buzzing with activity. Frederick was squatting in the herb garden tending to his plants. Theodore and his wife, along with Patrick and his wife, were sitting in the courtyard, sipping tea and chatting. Steven was learning some martial arts from Beckett. It was quite a lively scene. "What a lively bunch!" Henry exclaimed as he entered the courtyard, seeing this picture. "Mr. Carson, you're here," they all said, quickly standing up to greet him. "Heh, from now on, we're all one big family. No need for such formalities," Henry said with a light laugh. "I really have to thank you, Mr. Carson. Without you, we wouldn't be gathered here. Honestly, it feels great to be here," Frederick couldn't help but say to Henry. "Heh, it's great to see everyone getting along so well," Henry remarked. "By the way, I've had Zane prepare a house for each family in the city. You can get the keys tomorrow. This place is a bit out of the way, after all. Moving to the city might be more convenient." After sitting down, Henry said this to the group. "Mr. Carson, you've already helped us so much. How can we accept houses from you?" they protested. "Yeah, we really shouldn't," they said in unison. "Mr. Carson, we genuinely love it here," Patrick chimed in. "At our age, we prefer the quiet. It's quite pleasant sitting here, sipping tea, and chatting. Of course, we won’t let it interfere with any task you assign us." Seeing their reaction, Henry didn't press the issue. "Alright, I'll have the keys delivered to you tomorrow. You can move if you want to, or stay here. Either way, the houses here are enough, and in case of an emergency, you can always go back to the city." With Henry insisting, they had no choice but to express their gratitude. Henry then turned to Frederick. "Mr. Donovan, do you think it's possible to cure Mr. Cavendish's leg and eye problems?" This was a promise Henry had made to Theodore, and it was also to Henry's benefit, considering Theodore's prowess as a Martial Sovereign and potential to reach Martial Monarch status. Frederick replied promptly, "It's not entirely impossible. I examined Mr. Cavendish today and plan to start with acupuncture, followed by some herbal medicine. I think it should be manageable." Though Henry wasn't versed in traditional medicine, Frederick's confidence gave him some assurance. However, knowing that traditional methods could be slow, Henry hesitated before asking, "Mr. Donovan, have you heard of the Bone Vitality Elixir and Icicle Elixir?" These names raised eyebrows among those present, except for Theodore and Frederick. Theodore, as a martial arts expert, had some knowledge of elixirs, but Frederick was particularly well-versed. "Yes, of course, I know them," Frederick responded with surprise. "The Bone Vitality Elixir can heal broken bones, showing immediate effects upon consumption. It also nourishes the bone marrow, restoring the strength of the bones to their youthful state in the elderly." "The Icicle Elixir is even more remarkable. It not only clears the mind and improves vision but also repairs and revitalizes the eye's nerves. As long as the eyes are intact, it can restore sight, with immediate effects as well." "Crafting these elixirs requires some rare ingredients. Do you have them, Mr. Donovan?" Henry inquired. Upon hearing this, Frederick realized that Henry was planning to personally take charge of the task. After all, he himself couldn't concoct such precious pills. However, he did have the required ingredients on hand. "Perfect timing. I've recently gathered some rare medicinal herbs from various traditional medicine shops in King City," Frederick said excitedly. "I have exactly what's needed for these two elixirs." "Great, then I'll borrow those ingredients. I'll start making the elixirs right away," Henry responded. Everyone was astonished to learn that Henry, known for his strength and influence, was also an alchemist. Perhaps only Henry knew that all this was thanks to his family's secret art, The Commandment of Serpent. "Mr. Cavendish, if all goes well, you'll be throwing away your crutches and regaining your sight today!" Henry said, standing up with a smile. Theodore, visibly moved, struggled to his feet and bowed deeply towards Henry. "I, Theodore, am deeply grateful to Mr. Carson!" "There's no need for that," Henry replied. Frederick quickly brought out the ingredients. "Everything is here, Mr. Carson." "Then, let's use your alchemy room," Henry said, and Frederick eagerly led him to his alchemy lab. "I'll wait outside," Frederick said, knowing that no one was allowed near while Henry was working. This was not just Henry's rule but his own as well. Henry nodded slightly, and Frederick tactfully closed the door, returning to the courtyard. Everyone waited anxiously for the moment the elixirs would be ready. Time ticked by, and Henry had been in the alchemy room for an hour. A sense of anticipation and worry was evident on everyone's faces. After about ten more minutes, a faint, enchanting fragrance of the elixirs wafted out. "It seems the elixirs are almost ready," Frederick said, his face lighting up with excitement. Indeed, the elixirs were about to be completed. Though rare and highly valued in the market, these two elixirs were not considered high-tier in the realm of alchemy. Thus, for Henry, there was no possibility of failure.
