Weird energy

LESLIE’S POV I pulled away from Wade, feeling like we’d been caught doing something wrong. Adrian looked between the two of us, his brows furrowing just slightly. But then, he gave a small smile. “What’s going on here?” he asked, closing the door behind him. He had his jacket slung over his shoulder as he walked into the room, closer to my bed. “Adrian, you came,” I beamed at him, trying hard to calm my racing heart. I hated that Adrian had ruined the moment. I felt like Wade was about to give in. But, I was grateful. Maybe I was making a mistake with Wade. “Of course, I did. I’m sorry I couldn’t come over yesterday. I was so worried about you that I could barely sleep. Are you okay?” he asked, taking a seat by the bed.
