WADE’S POV Leslie was still mad at me, rightfully so, because I still hadn’t apologized. She wasn’t talking to me and she was outright ignoring me. I would have ignored it too but, it bothered me. I’d come back to this house because of her. She may or may not have chosen her college because of me but I didn’t want her being mad at me. It just unnerved me. I knew I’d have to work to get her to forgive. I was too stubborn to apologize because I wasn’t wrong. So, I decided that I was going to be all up in her face until she broke and gave in. I swam to the other end of the pool, coming up for air to glance at her. She was on her back now and I swallowed the lump in my throat as my eyes roamed up and down her body. I was so down bad. She just existed and I was breathless from watching her. I shook my head and kept swimming. I didn’t come back to this place to flirt with Leslie. I didn’t come back to try something with her.
