Chapter 761
Taylor was stronger than Steven. With quick reflexes, he grabbed Steven's wrist. A look of pride appeared on his face.
"You're not qualified to make a move in front of me."
But Steven just grinned. He tilted the wine bottle and poured the wine on Taylor's face.
"You're asking for death!" Taylor struck out fiercely. His energy surged as he grabbed Steven by the neck. He lifted Steven into the air.
His handsome face dripped with wine and was twisted into a terrifying look. "Do you really want to die?"
Nathan shouted angrily, "Are you crazy? Don't you care about Rose?"
"You have no right to speak!" Steven said impatiently without fear.
Nathan was frustrated, but he wasn't qualified to talk to Steven anymore. After all, Steven was Jonah's savior. Within just one day, Nathan had lost the right to address him.
Taylor wouldn't have come in person otherwise.
Although restrained, Steven calmly looked at Taylor and said, "If you had been smarter, I might've helped. I still wanted to kill you within these three months, but you're too foolish.
"I won't cure your poison."
If they knew that they could threaten Steven with Rose, wouldn't they use her again in the future? Wouldn't he become a slave to the Caldwells?
Besides, Rose would soon achieve the Nine-Poison Body. She was bound to deal with more poison soon enough. Although she was reluctant, it was necessary to come into contact with these terrifying substances now.
"General Caldwell, please calm down! Maybe we should offer him something else," Nathan said urgently. His face was troubled.
The Caldwells' current status in the military couldn't compare to Jonah. Plus, Taylor wasn't qualified to represent the Caldwells in provoking Jonah!
Since their threats weren't working, it seemed they had no choice but to surrender to Steven for now.
"Shut up!" Taylor shouted coldly, cutting him off. He glared at Steven fiercely. His grip on Steven's neck tightened.
"I'm the future hope of the Caldwells. Even in the face of death, I won't bow to trash like you. And if I do die, the Caldwells don't need to exist anymore. As for you, Rose, and all your friends and family…"
His gaze was cold as he said, "All of you will be buried with me!"
Steven felt the hand on his neck getting tighter. His face turned red, but he didn't panic. His voice was hoarse, but he said with a slight smile, "You're quite ruthless…"
He hadn't expected Taylor to be this extreme—to value his pride so much that he wouldn't bow and would even disregard his family.
Taylor had some backbone. Steven even felt a bit of respect for him.
Taylor's expression didn't change. To Nathan, it seemed that Taylor was about to choke Steven to death!
But just then, the main door suddenly swung open. The manager who had brought Steven in was thrown inside. He smashed into the ground, unmoving. It was uncertain whether he was even alive.
Yvonne's sharp voice rang out, "You've got some nerve, Taylor! How dare you touch a guest of the Quarrys?"
She entered with a group of people. When she saw Steven getting choked, she felt anxious.
"How dare the Caldwells go against the Quarrys? Do you want to die? Let him go now!"
Taylor glared at her and said coldly, "I'm already prepared to die, so why would I fear the Quarrys? Get lost!"
With that, he struck out with his palm, sending a wave of energy at her.
However, Tim stepped out in front of Taylor. He drew a sword and blocked the energy with a loud clang!
