Chapter 1176

Mya pointed to one of the beds. "Gloria and I will share a bed. You sleep over there." *** The rest of the night passed without incident. The next morning, Enzo arrived at the hotel shortly after Adrian’s group finished breakfast. He greeted, "How was your night, sir? Did you sleep well?" Mya stepped forward and replied, "We were ambushed by Rondoniers last night. Why didn't you notice them?" Enzo frowned. "How dare they… Those Rondoniers don’t know when to back down until they're killed. Are you guys okay? Was anyone injured?" "We wouldn't be standing here if we weren't okay." Mya rolled her eyes. "Enough chatter. We should hurry along." Adrian interrupted. Enzo led Adrian’s group to the car before speeding off to the airport. Adrian’s group would fly to Sormbay, then return to Novemton from there. The journey would take them more than a day. "This is as far as I can take you, sir. Someone will be at Sormbay to pick you up and arrange transport for your journey back to Novemton." "Thank you," Adrian said. Enzo nodded. "Casey and Reuben will be waiting for you. I believe you already know them." Gloria smiled. "We met them back on the ship. But, how did you get them to pick us up? I thought they would've left Sormbay by now." "I sought them out since they're able to blend into the crowd better. Not to worry, sir. You'll be safe once you get to Sormbay. The Noirsandians won't show up there." "Then let's move!" Gloria had no intention of staying in the outlands any longer. She wanted to hurry home and tell Gracia that she was cured. Adrian wasted no time and went straight into the airport to catch the flight. Twenty minutes later, their plane took off, where they would arrive in four hours if everything went smoothly. Gloria was in a good mood, lovingly stealing glances at Adrian. She had been through all manners of mysterious experiences throughout her life, the most notable was her resurrection five years after her presumed death. She cherished life a lot more than anyone else. She could not wait to see how happy Gracia would be when she got home. Gloria had not told Gracia about her return to surprise her. Adrian’s group walked out of the airport after being in the air for four hours. "Casey and his nephew are nice people. They've helped us once already, and we're now asking for their help again." Gloria smiled. Adrian was smiling as well. They suddenly heard a voice calling out to them. "Ms. Sia, over here!" Reuben waved as he called out to Gloria, who smiled and waved back. He jogged over to them with Casey in tow.
