Chapter 1172
"Also, why isn't that idiot running? Are all Novemtoners this stupid?"
"Haha! We've still got a chance then!"
The Rondoniers had faith in Gunther's capabilities. He would not have missed under normal circumstances. They thought it was due to the high wind speeds and direction that he failed to take down his target.
The Rondoniers laughed once more. "What the f*ck? Is he an idiot? Did he not hear the gunshot? Why isn’t he fleeing for his life?"
"Hahaha! Exactly! He clearly knows we're after his life, yet he's still loitering around."
"Gunther, make sure you get the wind speed right this time, and don't miss," Wolfclaw said.
"Yes, sir."
Gunther took a deep breath and aimed his weapon once more, ready to take his second shot. However, he failed to realize that his position had already been exposed thanks to his first shot.
Brett locked onto his position from the shadows. He took out a throwing star as he sneered. "You're done!" He then threw the throwing star.
Swoosh!!!
The throwing star flew past the slit between the windows and landed straight in Gunther's head. After a moment of struggle, he stopped breathing without ever knowing what got him.
Nobody knew what had happened to Gunther. Wolfclaw's voice kept repeating over the communicators. "Gunther, do you copy? Why haven't you taken your shot yet?
"Gunther, do you copy?"
Alas, Gunther was too dead to respond.
The other Rondoniers were confused as to why Gunther was not responding, when someone suddenly said, "Wolfclaw, Draco is within our range now. We can't rely on Gunther anymore, so I'll do it."
"Good, you're up then, Scorps. Take him down!"
"Yes, sir!"
Scorps snickered as he squinted. "You're supposed to be the strongest. I’ll show you just how weak you are before us Rondoniers. You're mine!" He then fired his weapon.
"Wolfclaw, I've taken my shot. He's a deadman. Let’s pack up and go home."
"Well done." Wolfclaw smiled.
But in the end, Scorps was dumbfounded to see Adrian still slowly walking toward the skyscraper they were in, despite having fired his weapon. It was as though nothing had happened.
"Wh-What's going on?!"
Scorps was dumbfounded over what was happening. He was sure that he had aimed his weapon correctly, so there was no chance he could have missed. Yet, the fact was that Adrian still stood there, unscathed.
"What the hell are you doing, Scorps? He's still alive!" Wolfclaw yelled angrily.
"Give me another chance. I swear I'll kill him this time." Scorps picked up his sniper rifle once more and prepared to take another shot.
Right at that moment, a throwing star flew in through the window and landed on his forehead.
Scorps instantly fell onto the floor, his mouth wide open as he lay lifeless on the floor.
