Chapter 1171

More than a hundred Rondoniers were lying in ambush inside the skyscraper near the hotel, waiting for Adrian to reveal himself. They all thought that their cover was flawless and that nobody could possibly detect their presence. Gunther squinted at the hotel, ready to make a huge name for himself and become the hero who took out Novemton's legate. Due to their arrogance, none of them realized they had been spotted a long time ago. Adrian walked out of the hotel's main entrance and stood on the streets. The Rondoniers were surprised when they saw this. "I've spotted Draco. He's just exited the hotel. I repeat. He's out of the hotel." "I see him too. He's outside. Wolfclaw, do we have permission to shoot?" "Here comes our prize!" "Hahaha!" The Rondoniers were so excited they trembled. They thought they were about to become world-class heroes by eliminating War Legate Draco. If that happened, their names would go down in history. Gunther was extremely excited as he aimed his rifle straight at Adrian's head. "He's within my attack range, and I've got my sights on him. Please give me the order to shoot." "Calm down, everyone," Wolfclaw suddenly said. He, too, was excited as he said, "Everyone, our prey may have arrived, but let's not act hastily. Gunther, he's dead within your sights, so make sure you don't miss. Take him down in one shot.” Wolfclaw excitedly declared, "Fire!" "Aye!" Gunther tensed up as he aimed for Adrian's head. Naturally, the man trained by Celestial Talon to be a sniper would not miss. He released the safety on his rifle and pulled the trigger. Bang!!! The gunshot startled those on the streets, sending them scrambling for cover. "Come to Daddy!!!" "Hahaha! Rondoniers are the best! Draco will be a lifeless corpse soon!" "Hahaha! We've won, you Novemton piece of trash!" Everyone anxiously waited for Adrian’s head to blow up. As the bullet sped toward Adrian, they thought they were superior beings with outstanding skills. Yet, Adrian was still standing five seconds after the shot was fired. He simply kept walking forward as though the bullet had vanished in mid-air. What was going on? The Rondoniers were stunned. He should have been shot, so why was he still standing? "Gunther, what's going on? Did you miss? Why is he still standing?" "What's happening, Gunther?" Gunther was dumbfounded. He was confident in his sniping capabilities. That bullet he fired had surely hit its mark. Yet, Adrian was still walking on the streets, alive and kicking. "What's going on? I couldn’t have missed that shot… Do you guys not believe in my skills? Gunther asked. "Did you miss because of the wind direction?"
