Chapter 276
Nelson's words surprised Elijah. Elijah didn't expect him to be so frank. Nelson was frank because he could live recklessly as he was from the Tucker family. It was different from Sabrina's straightforwardness.
Holding the wine glass, Elijah smiled and asked, "Where should I start from?"
Nelson raised his eyebrows. Elijah's reaction was the same as when he was in Alvoria. It was as if he wasn't involved in it.
"Where?" Nelson smiled, but there was no warmth. Coldly, he stared at Elijah. "Didn't you say you like her?"
"I do like her. I like her a lot. I like her even more now."
In the past, Sabrina didn't accept Elijah's love for her, and they didn't break any law. So, upon facing Nelson's interrogation, Elijah was calm.
"So, you admit that you intervened in my relationship with Sabrina."
Elijah's expression became cold. "Mr. Tucker, if you have evidence, you can just tell me. I don't like to have such conversations. I didn't like it previously, and I don't like it now either."
Nelson could tell that Elijah's words contained a hidden meaning. Elijah didn't deny it. It was just that Elijah was careful with his actions, so Nelson didn't have any evidence.
When Elijah was about to turn to leave, Nelson pressed his shoulder. "What do you plan on doing?"
Elijah turned to look at Nelson. "I like Sabrina. You two have already gotten a divorce. Whatever I do has nothing to do with you."
"You want more than just Sabrina," said Nelson. He was certain that Elijah had ulterior motives.
Elijah felt helpless. Did he have to give Nelson an answer for him to let him go? After thinking for a while, he said, "I want Sabrina and Tucker Group. Is this reason enough?"
If the reason wasn't enough, he could make up something else. Nonetheless, his playful and perfunctory actions failed to make Nelson let go of him.
When Sabrina was talking to Terry, she happened to see what was going on between Nelson and Elijah. She immediately panicked.
Why couldn't Nelson act more mature? Did he have to ruin her reputation before he was satisfied?
Without anyone noticing, Sabrina walked over to Nelson and Elijah at a quick pace.
"Let go."
Nelson was fairly reasonable as he let go of Elijah.
"It's fine. I was just making a joke, but it upset Mr. Tucker." Elijah gave Sabrina a comforting gaze. Sabrina nodded as she felt apologetic toward him. After all, it wasn't the first time Nelson targeted him.
"I'll take my leave first. You two can have a chat. Anyway, we don't have any conflicts."
Of course, they didn't have any conflicts. Nelson was just causing trouble.
Upon hearing what Elijah said, Nelson snorted. He thought that Elijah was being pretentious.
After Elijah left, Sabrina pulled Nelson to the side.
"What are you doing? Why were you grabbing him? Mr. Tucker, I beg you. He's my client…" Sabrina was grateful to Elijah as he had helped her in times of need.
"Sabrina, do you hate me because you like him?"
Sabrina frown. "Nelson, what are you going on about? We've already gotten a divorce. So what if I like him?"
Her words pierced his heart.
"So, you admit it…"
"Yeah. We plan to date." Sabrina made up lies with a blank face. She thought that she could stop Nelson from pestering her by saying that.
"I don't agree!" Nelson held her wrist.
"Do you know that he might be behind everything that led us to this stage…"
In the past, Nelson had Dylan look into Sabrina's university. He wanted to know if she was in Slitton when he was blind. However, the outcome of Dylan's investigation misled him. Since Elijah was from the same university as Sabrina, he was the biggest suspect!
