In the bedroom, Delia casually tossed her phone aside and glanced at Curtis with a hint of guilt in her eyes.
Flashing a sweet, slightly sheepish grin, she said, "Honey, you're done with work? Tired?"
Curtis saw right through her obvious attempt to change the subject. Instead of calling her out, he tilted his head slightly, gaze falling on her flushed cheeks, and gave a soft smile. "Not really. But you-what were you chatting about that had you grinning like that?"
Delia felt her ears burning.
"Oh, just girl talk... nothing serious," she mumbled before quickly clinging to his arm, swinging it playfully. "Babe, I wanna go shopping with Cassandra tomorrow."
Curtis responded without missing a beat, nodding. "Sure, go ahead. Just be careful."
His easy response caught Delia off guard. She pouted a little, clearly not satisfied.
Getting closer to him, she teased, "What? So quick to say yes? You're not even a tiny bit jealous? Not worried someone might steal me away?"
