Chapter 154

"Yes, that's right." When Brigham saw Jeremy and Cianna's reactions, he could tell that they definitely didn't believe him. He understood their skepticism, considering he had also thought Yolanda was a fraud at first. It wasn't until Yolanda showcased her exceptional medical skills that he realized how wrong he had been. He didn't want Jeremy and Cianna to make the same mistake, so he quickly explained, "Don't be fooled by the fact that Ms. Henderson is still a student. Her medical expertise is—" "What?" Before Brigham could finish his sentence, Jeremy interrupted him in disbelief, "Are you saying she's just a student?" Just a moment ago, he thought Yolanda looked young and assumed that was why she resembled a student. Who would have thought she really was a student? Since when did students become miracle doctors? This had to be a joke! They had already been doubtful of Yolanda's credentials as a miracle doctor in the first place, but upon hearing Brigham's explanation, they felt even more disheartened. "Brigham, I've always considered you my buddy. How could you mess with me like this?" Jeremy then looked at Yolanda angrily. "You haven't even graduated from med school. How can you shamelessly call yourself a miracle doctor?" "I've never called myself a miracle doctor," Yolanda replied coldly. "Then do you have a medical license?" Jeremy pressed on. "No," Yolanda responded. "You don't even have a medical license?" Jeremy exclaimed, feeling aghast. Cianna frowned and added, "Most third-year students can get a license!" "I'm not a medical student. I'm currently studying at First Academy." "First Academy?" Jeremy and Cianna were stunned. Although First Academy was the best school in Dowonair, it wasn't even a university! In other words, Yolanda wasn't even an undergraduate. "Brigham, this joke isn't funny at all. Cianna and I are very busy people," Jeremy said sternly. This was the first time he had been so angry with Brigham. Brigham should have known how much they wanted a child, yet he brought a student pretending to be a miracle doctor to deceive them. He had gone overboard by doing this! "Jeremy!" Brigham was getting frustrated too. As Jeremy wouldn't listen to him and kept jumping to conclusions, he finally snapped. "We've been friends for so many years. Don't you know what kind of person I am? Have I ever lied to you before?" "Maybe not in the past, but how do you explain what you've done today?" Jeremy knew he was being harsh, but he still pointed at Yolanda stubbornly and said, "You're telling me she's a miracle doctor! What could be more absurd than that?" Cianna nodded in agreement. As Yolanda looked very young, Cianna decided to advise her. "Little girl, you shouldn't be dishonest and lie. Don't you know that impersonating a doctor and delaying a patient's treatment is against the law? Just apologize to us now and promise not to pretend to be a doctor again, and we'll let this slide." "Cianna, why are you wasting time talking to her?" Jeremy wasn't as patient as Cianna. "If she dares to pose as a doctor again, just report to the police and have her arrested!" Brigham frowned deeply as he spoke with a clear hint of anger in his voice, "Jeremy, Cianna, I'm sincerely trying to help you. You can't just judge people based on their age!" Yolanda was about to speak up as the situation escalated, but she felt her phone vibrate. It was a WhatsApp message from Gavin. After reading the message, Yolanda typed a brief reply and then put her phone back into her coat pocket. Then, she looked at Jeremy and calmly said, "You've been experiencing frequent headaches recently, and you've been having insomnia. You're also prone to mouth ulcers." Next, she turned to Cianna and stated, "You have a spinal curvature, a history of knee injuries, and issues with your cervical vertebrae." The moment Yolanda saw Jeremy and Cianna walk in, she could tell what health problems they were struggling with.
