I'm Dr. Seely
Very soon, Isaias, the crippled Hurricane boss, and all his underlings were brought to the God Armament, not a single one of them was missing.
Half of Isaias's head was covered in blood, probably due to a shell explosion, making the fresh scar on his neck look even more chilling.
Looking at him like this, it looked like there wasn't much unharmed skin left on his body.
Isaias and the Hurricane boss were bound and thrown in front of William, Valentina, and the others.
Strong-willed, accustomed to being a king, the struggling Isaias made a great effort to stand up from the ground.
The next moment, someone kicked him in the back of his knee, he fell down heavily on his knees again.
He hissed in pain, gasping for air.
A pair of shoes appeared in his line of sight, he looked up and a beautiful face came into view.
In just a short month, the chubby girl had lost all of her weight, looking like a completely different person.
However, despite his usual lecherous tendencies, Isaias couldn't muster up any improper thoughts at the moment. He even directly ignored William, turning to the emaciated but still unfamiliar face of Valentina and voiced the doubt in his heart, "...Who exactly are you?"
The tension and fear of the unknown made him swallow nervously, and the relatively clean half of his face visibly paled.
Valentina squatted down, enjoying the fear in Isaias' eyes. The corner of her mouth slightly curled up, and she casually retorted, "The one who bombed your camp."
Both of them were speaking his local tongue, Jialu language.
Bruno and the others were confused but could feel Isaias' deep-rooted fear of Valentina coming from his soul.
They wondered, how could someone who even dared to detain a member of the God Armament be so afraid of Valentina.
Isaias looked into Valentina's eyes, the look was... very familiar.
But that's impossible, from appearance to height, they don't resemble each other at all, they are completely two different people.
"What is your relationship with that Chinese..." What are you, Girl and Grey, to each other?!
Before Isaias could ask, she saw Valentina raise her hand, followed by a slight prick in her throat, as if stung by a needle.
And when Isaias tried to speak again, she found herself mute.
Cold sweat broke out on Isaias, as she looked in horror at the harmless-looking beautiful girl in front of her.
Isaias opened her mouth repeatedly, trying to make a sound, but all in vain. No matter how hard she tried, all she could muster was a pitiful "ah ah" sound.
This spectacle left everyone in the hall looking at each other.
Valentina acted so fast. They only saw Valentina touch Isaias's neck. Or was it that she didn't? Anyway, they didn't catch anything she did and suddenly Isaias went mute.
There were no visible wounds on the neck, even if it was poison, it wouldn't work this fast. It was just too eerie.
Having witnessed Valentina's terrifying and bizarre power, the lying big boss of the hurricane was scared to death. As Valentina turned her gaze towards him, his mind went blank.
"What... what are you going to do?"
He began to wriggle his tied body, trying to edge backwards.
"Boss, the hospital called. Luke's legs were broken by them, just reconnected," Bruno said now, his phone in hand.
A chill crept over Valentina's face, her expression cooling several degrees.
The heart of Hurricane Boss sank, he felt he was bound for disaster.
Ignoring the pain in his hands, he frantically scraped his body in a retreat on the ground. His bandaged wrists kept oozing fresh blood, leaving marks all over the ground.
“It was not me, it was Isaias, he used me. It's all him, it has nothing to do with me.”
"Use this, you can use that needle, don't make it dirty." A gun was passed over.
Modou followed the hand that gave her the gun upwards, and saw the face of William.
She stood up, and her eyes were heavy as she looked at the Hurricane Boss.
The latter was frightened into silence, not even able to beg for mercy, only gazing at Modou in fear.
"Untie him." Modou said.
Upon hearing this, Batman wanted to say something, but was stopped by the Bruno.
The Bruno then walked over in several strides, barbarically hoisted the Hurricane Boss from the ground, and untied the ropes.
The Hurricane Boss who had been pulled back from the edge of death was still in a brain-frozen state. He foolishly looked at Modou, not daring to move at all.
Not until he saw Modou nodding her head slightly towards the direction of the main door, after a few stunned seconds, the Hurricane boss didn't think about it, he pulled his feeble legs along and clumsily ran out.
It was as if there was a flood or a fierce beast chasing him from behind, fearing that running a second slower, he could be gobbled up.
Seeing that Modou really let the person go, everyone looked at her without understanding.
Seeing that the man was about to run out of the main door, Batman was about to dig out his weapon, seeking revenge for Luke.
But Valentina beat him to it.
Taking the gun from William's hand, she loaded a bullet, and with a simple lift of her arm, she shot the gang leader in his leg.
The gun fired, and the man fell heavily onto the ground.
Driven by a strong desire to live, he managed to get up, dragging his bloody leg, limping and hobbling towards the door.
"Bang!" Another shot.
The man hit the floor again.
In a panic, he turned around, only to see Valentina walking towards him, step by step. Being completely incapacitated, he struggled to scoot away even just a bit, fear unlike any he had ever experienced overwhelming him.
Badman withdrew his hand that had been about to grasp a weapon, laughed, and felt considerably better.
The door was within reach, but suddenly, someone blocked his way.
A pair of feet appeared in front of him. He slowly raised his head to find and was met with a cold, indifferent gaze from a girl.
The girl squatted down and spoke softly, "Are you looking for Dr. Seely to treat your hand?"
He watched her.
The girl leaned down, getting closer to him. Her red lips parted, as she slowly said the words, "I am her."
The gang leader's pupils shrank, disbelief plastered across his face as he gazed at the girl in front of him. In that moment, only despair lingered in his eyes.
He no longer struggled, and he no longer had the strength to struggle. His head drooped to the ground, limp.
Valentina used a silver needle to damage the vocal cords, then instructed Bruno, "Bring a few doctors here, and make sure they don't die. Spare their lives, and wait for Luke to deal with them."
Then she turned to Isaias and continued, "Keep their lives, you guys can handle the rest."
"Your shooting skills are precise," said William as he took the gun Valentina handed over.
"Not bad, this gun," Valentina commented.
"If you like it, it's yours," William handed her his back-up pistol that had accompanied him for many years.
Just like before, he pointed the gun courteously at himself.
Valentina glanced down at it, didn't take it, and instead retorted, "Since Mr. Felton is back, why isn't he helping?" She stood by and watched.
William sounded innocent, "There's no room for me to step in. Is Miss Ricardo reproaching me?"
"I wouldn't say reproaching, it's not that hard anyway."
"I knew Miss Ricardo wouldn't stand by and do nothing, and would certainly be able to rescue the people."
"That's because my people are in their hands as well."
William just laughed, and didn't say anything.
Valentina pondered for a moment, and then suddenly said, "Leonard, as Mr. Felton's confidant, must have a hefty worth on his life, right?"
William raised his eyebrows slightly, and waited for her to continue.
"The few guys in the control room just now claimed that all our lives together are not even enough to compensate for his alone."
"Who told you that?" asked William.
Valentina didn't answer, but continued, "Even the slightest kindness should be repaid generously, let alone saving a life. It wouldn't be too much to ask Mr. Felton for something in return, would it?"
William wondered if he should remind her that it was her blowing up the Isaias's camp that had brought this undeserved catastrophe upon Leonard.
Of course, she'd probably respond like this: even if she hadn't blown anything up, any visitor from Isaias means no good and a confrontation with their God Armed Alliance was inevitable.
A twinkle of amusement sparkled in William's eyes, "What would Miss Ricardo like? Just say the word, and if it's within my power, it shall be yours."
