Chapter 765 Couldn't Bear To Part
Ruby was paying extra attention in learning how to dance around the campfire. Suddenly, her waist was grabbed by a huge hand before she was suddenly buried into his arms.
She raised her brows and when she turned around, she could see the man's very protective face.
"Let's head back, stop dancing."
Ruby chuckled as she teased, "You're the one who wanted me to dance and watch me embarrass myself but when I was just starting to get in the mood, you want me to leave? Are you doing this intentionally, Blaine?"
Blaine lowered his head, inched next to her ear and spoke in a flirtatious voice, "If you really want to dance, you can dance as much as you really want in my room. However, you are not allowed to continue dancing here as you're hypnotizing every single soldier."
Ruby chuckled in a flustered voice while rubbing her nose as she pondered if it was actually that serious.
Blaine grabbed her small hands and snuck away while it was crowded.
Hand in hand, both of them walked back to the dorms under the moonlight.
Ruby looked up toward Blaine's frail and skinny face. She chuckled and said, "I can't stay here forever, you know so when are you planning to let me go?"
Blaine lowered his gaze and stared at her. He felt heavy feelings of yearning but he was also helpless as he said, "It's true that having you stay here with me would be quite awkward and inconvenient. Not to mention, the current location is really awful but by letting you go, I’ll truly miss you."
Ruby rolled her eyes at Blaine and suggested, "Why don't we do it this way Blaine, since this is the border and to be fair, it's really close to Z Country so even if I returned home, I can visit you every two weeks, Blaine."
"Oh right, I forgot that you're not a normal woman. You'll still be able to make your way to the Western borders regardless if you came from Z or R Country."
Ruby raised her head and stared at her with a teasing gaze. She said, "Well of course and if I fly over in a helicopter, it'll only take me a couple of hours. However, if I'm actually going to drop by next time, you'll have to give me some sort of special pass, Blaine or else, I might get detained like a criminal again."
"If they dare detain you again, I'll deal with them myself."
Ruby grinned and said, "You know, I didn't make a move on them just because I thought about them being your underlings. If they dare detain me again, I won't be so kind anymore."
Blaine reached out and embraced her tightly as he said, "I should really thank you then since you were being merciful to not have their heads."
"That's right."
Blaine stared at her beautiful smug look while his heart trembled as he stared at her intensely.
"Softie, don't you think it's too little when we're only meeting once in two weeks."
Ruby was speechless as she looked up at him, meeting his gaze and said, "How often do you want us to meet then?"
"Once a week at least to me."
Ruby grazed his handsome chin with her fingers and squinted her eyes as she said, "Blaine, although you're extremely attractive but don't you think you're asking a little too much if you want me to meet you once a week?"
Blaine chuckled and held onto her little hands while staring at her with a compassionately loving gaze. He said, "I'm not allowed to leave this place and if I could, I'll visit you at night and return to my base in the morning, you know. That way, I'll be able to stay by your side every night."
"Oh please, you make it sound so sad. It'll fully depend on my mood."
Ruby paced in front of him with both hands behind her back in a carefree manner.
Blaine caught up to her and grabbed her arm before pulling her into him before whispering into her ear with a deep voice, "Once a week, Softie. No more, no less."
Ruby smiled as she stared at how overwhelmingly in love his gaze was and said, "Well, since you love me so much, I can reluctantly agree. However…"
"What exactly?"
She pressed her forehead against his as a cunning flash could be seen in her eyes. She said, "However… you'll need to pay for the aircraft's fuel."
As Blaine stared at her with a warm burning gaze, he replied in a soft whisper, "Alright. I can get you a personal helicopter too."
The man lowered his head and kissed her under the moonlight while hugging her.
…
Ruby asked Blaine while laying in his arms when they returned to the dorm, "How are we going to arrange our weekly date, Blaine? We'll have a fixed time and place?"
"We'll meet every Saturday then. You can drop by on Friday night. You can spend a full day with me on Saturday and return at noon on Sunday? What do you think?"
Ruby pouted her lips as she lamented, "You said we'll meet up once a week, how did all of that become three times a week?"
Friday, Saturday and Sunday would be three days.
Blaine turned around and looked at her before teasing her intentionally, "What's the matter? Too little for you? You know, I don't mind you flying over and spending every night with me you know."
"So wouldn't it be better for me to stay here rather than returning to Z Country?"
Before meeting Blaine, Ruby had never dated anyone before so she was still very new to dating.
She was unsure how often a normal couple met up and the only thing she knew was meeting three times a week might get boring real quick?
"I think I can drop by Saturday morning and leave Sunday morning?"
That way, they would have something to look forward to and their relationship would not get boring too quickly in the long run.
Blaine stared at her little face while she was thinking about something. His gaze dimmed as he chuckled and said, "So, you want it to be a one night stand then, Softie?"
Ruby was speechless.
Ruby started to blush.
"Who told you that I'm only here to sleep with you, Blaine? It's still up to me to decide on whether or not I want to actually sleep with you anyway."
Blaine stared at her with a teasing gaze, grinned before hugging the woman tighter and said, "Why does that sound so familiar to me?"
Ruby raised her brows and said, "Have I ever mentioned that to you? Perhaps it might be something another woman said to you when you slept with them?"
Blaine was unwilling to roll with her punches so he said, "Only you would be bold enough to say anything like this to me. I don't think there will be another woman in this world who would dare talk to me about rights. Softie was the first to say that to me a decade ago."
Ruby was recalling her memories and recalled the memory she shared with Blaine in the cave. Softie actually demanded that he listen to her on the topic of sex back then.
Hmph, what an unreasonable woman, alright.
Ruby held herself back from laughing and stared at Blaine with a puzzled look. "So, what do you like about me, Blaine?"
Was that how barbaric she was?
She truly was not thoughtful at all since she demanded Blaine to do everything she said in regards to sex and she would not do what Blaine told her to.
Blaine chuckled and said, "Do you understand how difficult it is to like someone now, Ruby?"
That statement was obviously a joke.
Ruby scoffed and said, "Since it's that difficult for you, don't like me then since it's nothing more than a walk in the park for you to have women. There would be even more women out there who would be willing to spend the rest of their lives with you too."
She stared at him with a carefree expression.
Blaine stared at her and said, "Are you sure that you really aren't jealous? You wouldn't shoot me to death if I actually date another woman, right?"
Ruby was a little surprised by his remark as she asked, "You know, I'll murder you with a gun."
Blaine turned around and laid on top of her.
The man stared at her with a warm burning gaze and said, "Because I remember everything Softie once said to me. I won't dare forget even a single thing she told me."
Ruby could not help but admit that she was incredibly touched by his statement.
She was incredibly happy by what he told her.
Anyone who was not talented in expressing their feelings through words, would be incredibly gifted in expressing their love through their actions. The truth was, she could not bear to part with him.
