Seasickness
After Harris left, Carroll put me on a chair and asked with intense eyes, "Did you come to me just to tell me that you've had breakfast?"
I didn't answer.
After being stared at by him for 15 seconds, I was immediately defeated. I stirred my fingers and said, "Well, Mr. Carroll, can you take me to the sea?"
"Heh." Carroll pinched my face. "I knew it. The naughty child can't flatter me for no reason."
"I'm not a naughty child. I'm nineteen!" I murmured in dissatisfaction.
Carroll raised my chin. "Speak louder and say it again?"
The bangs on my forehead were scattered on both sides. I blinked my eyes as if I was trying to please him. "Mr. Carroll, I said you're the best man in the world."
"Best man?" He smirked and asked me, "Am I just the best man?"
"No, no, no, you are the best husband," I added.
He put down his fingers with satisfaction. "That's good."
"So, can I go out to sea? To your cousin's party?" I asked at the right time.
"You're not allowed to go." Carroll coldly refused. "Stay away from my cousin. You won't be able to learn anything from him."
As he spoke, he opened the video conference.
I didn't want to disturb him any further. With an "oh", I lowered my head and walked out.
Before I went out, his cold voice sounded behind me. "When I finish the meeting, I'll take you to the sea."
In an instant, I became interested. I ran up to him and kissed him. "Mr. Carroll, you're the best!"
Carroll said, "Well, they see you again."
Only then did I realize that he was having a video conference.
At this time, the video was connected.
The middle-aged men on the conference screen all laughed awkwardly.
I blushed and said, "Goodbye, gentlemen."
After that, I ran away from his study.
It was too embarrassing.
I kicked off the dust that wasn't obvious on the ground.
This group of people was annoying. Carroll had just opened the video interface. How could it be connected in an instant?
Were they all sitting in front of the computer and waiting?
Just as I was feeling so embarrassed, Wolfie ran over with its head held high and tail hanging down.
It was grinning and sticking out its tongue, so I knew that it was here to ask for credit.
I patted its head and asked, "What's wrong?"
Wolfie let out two whimpers and led me downstairs.
Fearing that my two short legs wouldn't be able to keep up, it would turn around from time to time to confirm my position.
Finally, I was led by it to the back door of the villa.
The bodyguard was dragging a woman with disheveled hair into the back door.
I took a closer look. Wasn't this Sandy?
Wolfie was proudly circling around me as if it was its credit for everything that had happened.
Sandy saw the big wolf next to me and sat down on the ground, shivering. "There's a cause for injustice. You... should go and find Odette."
The bodyguard frowned and pulled her up. "Miss Sandy, you don't have to worry about that. You'd better go to the mental hospital to cure your mental illness."
"Is she crazy?" I took two steps back subconsciously.
"Yes, Madam. She seems to be crazy. Wolfie slept beside her all night, and she became crazy when she got up."
The bodyguard pushed her hard and stuffed her into the ambulance parked at the back door.
Only then did I see the words in the car, "The psychiatry department in Costsley".
"Then hurry up and send her away. It's not illegal for a psycho to kill someone."
As I spoke, I called for the bodyguard to close the door.
Wolfie bared its fangs and didn't put them away until the back door was completely closed.
I knocked on its head and said, "Well done. Don't do it next time."
Obviously, the big wolf didn't understand what I meant. It tilted its head and looked at me in confusion.
"Hey, let's go. I'll get you a lamb leg."
When I came here, I saw a stove in the yard. I had nothing to do, so why didn't I roast some meat?
The bodyguard and I were busy for a whole afternoon, and Kelly's roast lamb was finally ready.
In the crackling fire, the mutton was sizzling with oil.
The fragrance filled the entire courtyard.
The bodyguard took off a lamb leg with a pair of gloves and threw it to Wolfie. Wolfie happily lay on the straw mat and began to eat.
The meeting was over. Carroll changed into a set of pure white casual clothes and walked out.
After he took off his suit, he looked less like an elegant ruffian, and more like a playful man.
Especially his two legs wrapped in trousers. They were straight and slender, very attractive.
"Tsk, tsk. It's a disaster to have such a beautiful face."
I sighed with emotion. I raised my knife and cut off a piece of flesh on the ribs.
"Have a taste. It's the first bite." I arched the knife in my hand in front of him.
Carroll subconsciously backed up and glanced at Wolfie that was eating its fill. "You roasted it for dogs, but do you give it to me?"
I was speechless.
"What do you mean by roasting it for a dog? It is enough for us to eat." I complained and swallowed the meat on the tip of the knife.
They were both fat and thin, and the taste was really good.
"It's really delicious!" I sighed with emotion and said to the bodyguard and Jason, "Eat quickly. It's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside."
Carroll frowned and asked, "Did you roast it?"
"Of course." I proudly raised my chin. "When I was a child, I couldn't eat enough. I often sneaked into the mountains and set traps to catch some wild food and roast it to satisfy my appetite. My cooking skills are very good."
Jason and the bodyguard had already started to eat.
After eating, they all expressed their agreement to Carroll. "Mr. Carroll, Madam's cooking skills aren't bad."
"Mr. Carroll, why don't you... have a taste? Madam really knows how to roast sheep."
Before Carroll could reply, I had already cut off a piece of meat and stuffed it into his mouth.
His expression changed from rejection to relief. After he chewed it carefully, he finally swallowed it.
"You're good at cooking." Carroll reached out to wipe away the ashes on my face. "Get ready to board the boat."
"Are we going to sea?" I threw away the knife and grabbed his arm excitedly. "Can we take the roast sheep with us?"
"Yes," Carroll replied.
I quickly asked, "What about Wolfie?"
"No way!"
Carroll refused. "It's seasick."
I looked at Wolfie with pity. "Then I can only go by myself."
Half an hour later, my roast whole sheep and I arrived at the yacht.
At the place where the sea and the sky met, the sun fell to the surface of the sea covered by a layer of fog.
I looked around excitedly.
"Let's go. I'll take you to the deck to watch the sunset." Carroll pulled me up to the deck.
Unexpectedly, as soon as I stood up, I felt dizzy and my stomach was constantly churning.
"Oh!" I covered my mouth and asked Carroll for help with a pale face. "I want to throw up."
"Do you want to throw up?" Carroll pressed me against the fence.
The fence just blocked my stomach.
The next second, I threw up.
